Early Season Win Total projections have the Seahawks chalked at 11 wins. Can the Seahawks crack this number with the fourth toughest NFL schedule in 2015? We serve up game-by-game predictions and round up with NFL picks for the current win total.

Seahawks The Team To Beat?
Seattle Seahawks are the team to beat across NFL futures betting markets, but they've received no favors with the fourth toughest schedule, prompting many NFL bettors to consider just how realistic are these expectations.

Last year, the Seahawks received the sixth toughest schedule that boasted a 0.561 winning percentage and odds makers chalked the line at 10.5 wins. In spite of the minefield that they were forced to traverse, they did emerge with a stellar 12-4-0 season to clinch the NFC West title and top seed in the NFL playoffs and, in turn, OVER bettors cashed at the sportsbook windows.

With the fourth toughest NFL schedule in 2015, it may surprise some NFL bettors that their projected season win totals are set to 11 wins – a smidgen higher than last year. There are several reasons why this is the case beginning with the slightly lower 0.559 winning percentage of their NFL schedule compared to last year's 0.561 winning percentage There's the fact that the Seahawks alone set the bar high after averaging exactly 12 wins over the last three seasons. And one has to also consider some of the changes that are taking place in the NFC West, mainly with the transitioning 49ers (their stiffest rivals in recent seasons) that appear to be splitting NFL betting opinion as the yet uncertain entity with their roster overhaul and new coaching team.

In any event, it's early days yet and the season a long way away. This win total can still waft either way on the winds of public betting opinion in the coming months and through training camps before settling on a final closing number. But for the time being we're obliged to use this projected season win total of 11 for our NFL picks.

Here goes...

Week 1: vs. St Louis (road), Sunday, Sept 13 at 1 PM
Last year, the Seahawks lost in St. Louis in week 7, a 28-26 loss at Edward Jones Dome that stunned NFL betting markets. It marked the only divisional game the Seahawks dropped (5-1 SU), and it was their third overall loss and second road loss last season, after which they went on to win nine of their last ten games. That said Edward Jones Dome is a tough place for the Hawks; they lost two of their last three meetings with the Rams there, including a 19-13 loss in 2012-2013. The only recent win came during their Super Bowl winning season when they beat the Rams 14-9. By the scores, the Rams can obviously play the Seahawks close. The money question however hast to be: with Nick Foles set to make his debut for the Rams, can the hosts make it two in a row against the Seahawks?   This game could go either way given the head-to-head in recent seasons. Obviously, the popular NFL pick is going to be a Seattle win, but don't be surprised if the Rams edge the Hawks yet again.
NFL Pick: Loss
Record: 0-1

Week 2: vs. Green Bay (road), Sunday, Sept 20 at 8:30 PM
In one of the most anticipated games of the NFL season, the Packers will be out for revenge. The Seahawks are set to descend on Lambeau field in week 2 of NFL betting, the impenetrable fortress of the Green Bay Packers. It marks a rematch of the NFC Championship game that the Seahawks snatched from the Packers in improbable fashion. After rallying to tie the game in the last three minutes, the Seahawks won 28-22 in OT to book a place in their second straight Super Bowl. Seattle also beat the Packers at home in their season opener 36-16. The Packers have a score to settle here and one has to like their chances of pulling it off at home.
NFL Picks: Loss
Record: 0-2

Week 3: vs. Chicago (home), Sunday, Sept 27 at 4:25 PM
In the first home game of the season, the Seattle Seahawks will burst out of the gates to the rising crescendo of the raucous CenturyLink fans. A decidedly weaker opponent in Chicago Bears should serve up a straightforward win.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 1-2

Week 4: vs. Detroit (home), Monday, Oct 5 at 8:30 PM
In the only Monday Primetime game of the season for the Seahawks, they take on worthy opponents in the Detroit Lions, fellow playoff contenders and a team that gave the Packers a run for their money in the race to the NFC North title. Golden Tate will face off against his former cronies and Calvin Johnson against Richard Sherman should provide for some exhilarating plays. Seattle, however, should eke out the win here. When push comes to shove in Primetime Football, Russell Wilson can handle the occasion much better than Matthew Stafford.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 2-2

Week 5: vs. Cincinnati (road), Sunday, Oct 11 at 1 PM
A short week combined with a road trip and a relatively early start could conspire against the Seahawks. Put another way, those aren't ideal conditions against a respectable Bengals side that could make a fist of it here. The Bengals will also have the advantage of playing a second home game in a row after hosting Kansas City in week 4. That said the NFC Champs should prove their superiority over Andy Dalton and company.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 3-2

Week 6: vs. Carolina (home), Sunday, Oct 18 at 4:05 PM
In only their third home game of the season the Seahawks welcome the Panthers, marking a rematch of the NFL playoff clash that the Hawks won 31-17. The Panthers played the Hawks tough for most of the game, before the hosts ran away with it in the end. Hard to imagine a different outcome at CenturyLink where the Hawks are tough to beat.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 4-2

Week 7: vs. San Francisco (road), Thursday, Oct 22 at 8:25 PM
It's the third Primetime NFL slot for the Seahawks of the season, as they descend on their bitter rivals 49ers. It's going to be a short week for both teams, which levels the playing field a bit. The 49ers will be playing their second home game in a row after hosting the Ravens in week 6. While Seattle will be making the short trek to San Francisco.

Many NFL bettors figure the 49ers to be the worst team in the NFC West this season, a notion echoed by their low season win totals. By week 7, we'll surely have an inkling if that was the correct assessment. As it is, we're not writing off the Niners yet. This is a divisional rivalry that both teams will get up for, and the memory of Wilson and Sherman digging into Thanksgiving Turkey on San Fran sidelines last season might propel Niners to a better account in front of their fans this time. They could serve up a surprise here. Reports are Colin Kaepernick has had a brilliant offseason working with Kurt Warner.
NFL Picks: Loss
Record: 4-3

Week 8: vs. Dallas (road), Sunday, Nov 1 at 4:25 PM
One word: Payback. The Seahawks were stunned by the Cowboys at CenturyLink last season in a 30-23 loss and, in turn, sent seismic shockwaves through NFL betting circles. What's more, they've lost three straight on the road to Dallas. This negative trend ends here with the Seahawks taking the road win.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 5-3

Week 9: Bye

Week 10: vs. Arizona (home), Sunday Nov 15 at 8:30
This is going to be a pivotal game against a side that many NFL bettors have down as Seattle's biggest rivals for the NFC West title. Last season, the Cardinals very nearly clinched the division after getting their season off the mark behind one of the best runs of form in the league. Although both sides will be coming off a bye week, with tons of preparation for this game and loads of quality practice, one has to like Seattle to come through in NFL betting markets for the home win.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 6-3

Week 11: vs. San Francisco (home), Sunday, Nov 22 at 4:25 PM
A second straight divisional clash is on the cards in week 11 NFL betting when the Niners come to town. At the height of their rivalry two seasons ago, the pair split the meetings with each side winning on the road. Since then it's been rather one-sided. Seahawks are always up for this matchup: last season, they swept the series 19-3 (away) and 17-7 at CenturyLink. Seattle at home is the smart NFL pick, you have to agree.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 7-3

Week 12: vs. Steelers (home), Sunday, Nov 29 at 4:25 PM
In the third straight home game, the Seattle Seahawks might fancy their chances to extend their winning streak at the expense of Big Ben and the Steelers. However, the Steelers could strike the upset on the NFL odds board here. Last season, they had some monster wins, including a 51-34 win over the Colts, a 43-23 win over the Ravens and a 42-21 win over the Bengals. One never knows what the Steelers will get up to, but it wouldn't be surprising if they did pull off the road win in Seattle.
NFL Picks: Loss
Record: 7-4

Week 13: vs. Minnesota (road), Sunday, Dec 6 at 1 PM
A trip to Minnesota in December could be tricky. It'll be the first road trip in a month for the Seahawks and weather could become a significant factor here. It remains to be seen whether Adrian Peterson will have his act together this season and just how well Bridgewater matures in his second term in the NFL. At face value, this looks like a straightforward clash for the NFC Champs, but sometimes those can be the most deceiving. This could be a closer game than most would have it on their NFL picks. Still, one expects the Seahawks to get the job done with the season winding down and playoff spots up for grabs.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 8-4

Week 14: vs. Baltimore (road), Sunday, Dec 13 at 8:30 PM
A second road game in as many weeks in December, another chilly stop on the NFL schedule. This time it's Baltimore where the Seahawks have struggled in recent history. This could be a tough game for the Seahawks. John Harbaugh loves a challenge and he'll have his boys up for this game in a big way. Best case scenario for the Ravens if they go into this game as the NFL betting underdogs; that'll motivate them to the win.
NFL Picks: Loss
Record: 8-5

Week 15: vs. Cleveland (home), Sunday, Dec 20 at 4:05 PM
A welcome return home to CenturyLink is on the NFL betting card, just in time for Christmas dinner with the family. Cleveland strike a weak pose right now on the NFL odds board in just about every single category. Few NFL bettors expect anything but an easy win.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 9-5

Week 16: vs. St. Louis  (home), Sunday, Dec 27 at 4:25 PM
A visit from the tricky Rams marks the first of two divisional rivalries to close the season on. Seattle will be looking to bank on home advantage in this clash. Nick Foles and the Rams will be looking to make a point in CenturyLink, but the Legion of Boom will shut them down.
NFL Picks: Win
Record: 10-5

Week 17: vs. Arizona (road), Sunday, Jan 3 at 4:25 PM
The Seahawks close the season in Arizona, in a game that might prove to be a divisional-decider. The well coached Cardinals will be no pushovers at home. They'll want to win this in a big way and it shouldn't surprise NFL bettors if they do pull it off.
NFL Picks: Loss
Record: 10-6

NFL Betting Verdict: The NFL is in constant flux. There are changes to be had on this Seahawks roster (some known, others unknown) and some significant improvements in the NFC West Division altogether that have us considering the Seahawks facing more adversity against their rivals than last year. Odds makers are projecting the Seattle Seahawks on an 11-win total for the season, with the OVER trading at -120 and the UNDER trading a smidgen shorter at -110 (Bovada). By our bold predictions, we have the Seahawks headed towards a 10-6 record on the season or thereabouts. At best, we fancy an 11-5 SU record. It's a gutsy prediction that stands against their 12 win record over the last three seasons. Nevertheless, it's our prediction and thus we recommend the UNDER at -110 for your NFL picks.
