NFL history shows teams that lose the Super Bowl often fail to return to the playoffs. That could be the fate for Seattle if it loses Thursday in San Francisco. Let's examine some Seahawks props.

Seattle led visiting Carolina 23-14 on Sunday with less than four minutes remaining but let Cam Newton lead two 80-yard scoring drives for the Panthers to pull out the 27-23 upset win. And I thought the return of star safety Kam Chancellor was supposed to fix all of Seattle's problems? The Seahawks have led every game this season in the fourth quarter but are just 2-4 because they have been outscored in that frame 48-9 over the past five games. Remember, too, that Seattle blew a fourth-quarter lead to New England in the Super Bowl. Maybe the team is still shell-shocked. Many teams have had trouble holding onto fourth-quarter leads this season, though. Through the first six weeks, 27 of 91 games (29.7 percent) have been decided by a fourth-quarter comeback victory. That puts this season on pace for the second-highest percentage of games with a fourth-quarter comeback victory since 1970. The record is 31.3 percent in 1989 (70 comeback wins in 224 games).

Bovada offers two Week 7 special props on Seattle. The first is 'over/under' 1.5 games in which Seattle will lose this season after holding a lead heading into the fourth quarter. The 'over' is +110 on NFL odds and the 'under' is -150. The second is whether Seattle makes the playoffs, with yes at -130 and no at -110. The Seahawks' remaining schedule after Thursday is: at Cowboys, bye week, vs. Cardinals, vs. 49res, vs. Steelers, at Vikings, at  Ravens, vs. Browns, vs. Rams, at Cardinals. Only Arizona, Pittsburgh and Minnesota currently have winning records.

Russell Wilson 'Over/Under' 19.5 Completions, 235.5 Passing Yards, 1.5 TD Passes, .5 INTs
You can't really blame Wilson for Seattle's struggles thus far. He is playing behind a really shaky offensive line -- the team really misses center Max Unger, who went to New Orleans in the Jimmy Graham trade. Wilson has been sacked an NFL-high 26 times and it would be plenty more if he wasn't such a good running quarterback. Wilson is completing a career-high 68.9 percent of his passes for 1,433 yards, seven touchdowns and three picks for a rating of 98.7 that's No. 10 in the NFL. Wilson is never a guy who is going to put huge numbers as that's not how the Seattle offense is run. He hasn't had a 300-yard game this season and just one with multiple touchdown passes. Wilson has had three games with no picks and three with one. He tends to like playing on Thursday nights as Wilson has won his past three on Thursday, passing for six touchdowns with no interceptions for a 117.2 passer rating.  He is 5-2 in his career vs. San Francisco, including playoffs, passing for 1,253 yards and nine scores, good for a rating of 87.9. The 49ers' defense used to be one of the NFL's best but it lost a ton this offseason, mostly to retirement. Now it ranks dead last against the pass, allowing 306.0 yards per game. The Niners have given up 11 TD passes and picked off five.
NFL Free Picks: 'UNDER' first three, but Wilson throws one interception.

Marshawn Lynch O/U 72.5 Rushing Yards
Lynch +400 To Be Game's First TD Scorer, -175 For Anytime TD
Lynch returned  from missing two games on Sunday in the loss to Carolina and rushed 17 times for 54 yards and a touchdown. He's not having a great season, averaging only 3.3 yards per carry. He still might not be 100 percent off that hamstring injury. Really, backup Thomas Rawls has been better this season, but Rawls got just one carry vs. the Panthers with Lynch back. But in his past eight games vs. San Francisco, including playoffs, Lynch has 795 rush yards (99.4 per game) and nine touchdowns (seven rushing, two receiving). The Niners are No. 15 against the rush, allowing 102.8 yards per game.
NFL Free Pick: 'OVER' and yes on the anytime TD.

Jimmy Graham O/U 4.5 Receptions, 52.5 Receiving Yards
Following a Week 2 loss in Green Bay, Graham complained he wasn't being used enough in the offense. And the former Pro Bowler had just two targets and one catch in that game. The team has tried to involve Graham more and last week he had season highs in targets (12), catches (eight) and yards (140). No tight  end has had a huge game vs. the Niners this season, but they haven't seen one yet of Graham's caliber.
NFL Free Picks: 'OVER' both.
