Jason Lake

The picks of the week for Jason were the Chiefs (-1), Panthers (-1.5), and Chargers (-4).

Kansas City was the only team to cash in Week 5, thanks to some strong play from Alex Smith and company in the fourth quarter. The Panthers couldn't keep up in the Arizona heat and lost to the Cardinals, while the Chargers were beaten up by the Raiders in Oakland.

Season ATS Record: 12-12-1

Jordan Sharp

Our resident Monday Night Football guy was at it again this week, picking some heavy home chalk on the NFL odds boards, in the form of the Falcons at minus nine.

Low and behold, not only did Atlanta fail to cover – they also lost straight up, in arguably the biggest upset of the entire week. What a terrible result for the Falcons, who now stand at a dismal 1-4 on the season.

Season ATS Record: 3-3

Season O/U Record: 0-1

Joe Freda

Joe was on the Packers (-6.5), Ravens (+3) and Bears (-1), and ended up with a profitable 2-1 record in those matchups.

Green Bay didn't have the sharpest day offensively, but still had relative ease dispatching Detroit at home, and Baltimore ended up winning straight up in Miami. The Bears, however, couldn't muster a comeback against Drew Brees and company and ended up losing at home.

Season ATS Record: 3-3-2

Season O/U Record: 0-1

David Lawrence

The one sports pick that David recommended was on the Colts at plus three, and that ended up being a nice hit.

Indianapolis went back and forth with Seattle all game long, but in the end it was the Colts that emerged victorious. Eleven points in the fourth quarter spurred Indianapolis to a 34-28 win at home.

Season ATS Record: 3-6-1

So I went with the Broncos money train and it ended up killing me.

In what is likely to be the most entertaining game of the entire regular season, Denver did end up winning, but only on a field goal as time expired. Peyton Manning and Tony Romo were both spectacular, but the Broncos were able to do enough to remain undefeated. Can't say the same for my ATS record though.

Season ATS Record: 2-1

Season O/U Record: 0-2

Doug Upstone

Doug took two favorites with his NFL picks for Week 5 and finished with a split.

The Giants, who were picked by many to bounce back and finally get a win, choked away a second-half lead and lost to the Eagles. However, the Rams took care of business against the lowly Jaguars, winning by two touchdowns to secure the ATS cover.

Season ATS Record: 4-5

Adam Ritota

In his debut week, Adam split with his selections as well. He successfully called Cincinnati's cover as two-point favorites at home against New England, but wasn't so lucky in the Sunday Night Football game.

Why's that? Well, the Texans (+6.5) were awful and didn't even come close to sniffing a cover as sizable dogs on the road in San Francisco.
