It was a mixed day at the office for Jason. He was on two favorites in Baltimore (-3.5) and Indianapolis (-7) and four underdogs in St. Louis (+3), San Diego (+2), Oakland (+3), and Philadelphia (+11).
The Colts were one of the easiest winners of the week in their dismantling of the awful Jaguars, but the Ravens couldn't get it done in Buffalo and wound up losing by three.
Only one of the four underdog picks came through and that was the Chargers at home, who overcame Dallas 30-21. The Rams had no answer for the 49ers despite behind at home, the Raiders fell to to RGIII and the Redskins and the Eagles were crushed by the red-hot Broncos.
Season ATS Record: 10-10-1
Jordan is the go-to guy for Monday Night Football picks and he hit the nail on the head with his selection for Week 4.
The Saints came in favored by essentially a touchdown and Jordan felt as if they were still the best side to take with your sports picks. That was certainly the case as Drew Brees threw for four touchdown passes en route to a 38-17 win for New Orleans.
Season ATS Record: 3-2
Season O/U Record: 0-1
It ended up being a successful night for Swingin' Johnson on Sunday. He felt confident in New England to take care of business in their tough road contest with Atlanta and he was right.
The Patriots were moving the ball at will despite still missing some key weapons in the passing game, and Atlanta's rally fell just short late in the fourth. New England ended up covering as a field goal underdog in the NFL odds.
ATS Record: 1-1
O/U Record: 1-0
Two underdogs were on David's card for Week 4. He liked the look of Houston (+3) at home against Seattle and then was of the belief Chicago (+2.5) represented good value on the road against Detroit.
The Texans choked away the win in their matchup with the Seahawks and many had to settle for a push in a game that Seattle won on a field goal in overtime. The Bears meanwhile were terrible defensively and ended up losing 40-32 to Matthew Stafford and company.
Season ATS Record: 2-6-1
The whole “stay away from picking totals” notion was reinforced this week, as I stuck with my gut and went with the Titans to cover the chalk at home against the Jets.
It was a dominant performance on both sides of the ball for Tennessee. They made life miserable for Geno Smith and Jake Locker had a big day before having to leave with an injury.
Season ATS Record: 2-0
Season O/U Record: 0-2
A busy weekend for Doug saw him make sports picks on three different games. He sided with three favorites in Pittsburgh (-1), Kansas City (-4), and Tampa Bay (-2).
The Chiefs, as expected, had no problems brushing aside the terrible Giants, but the Steelers and Buccaneers couldn't come through. Tampa Bay's loss was especially tough, considering they were leading practically the entire game before collapsing late.
Season ATS Record: 3-4
Steve continued his perfect start to the season with a successful play on the Browns (+3.5) at home. Cleveland has become a trendy pick because of the play of Brian Hoyer and that revitalized defense.
Well, they certainly got the job done this weekend, holding off in-state rival Cincinnati to win 17-6.
ATS Record: 2-0
