Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers hope to build up some momentum after picking up their first win of the season. They may (or may not) have some trouble with that when they meet an inconsistent Baltimore Ravens team on Sunday.

Take a look at our NFL Week 7 Betting Odds Report for more insight into this week's football games!

Odds Overview

You know the NFL odds are going to be tight when these teams do battle.

The Week 7 lines show Pittsburgh favored by a point at most sportsbooks, though you can also lock down a spread of 2.5 if you look around enough. The total opened at 40 but has risen to 40.5 and even 41 in some places.

 Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore's back-and-forth season continued last week, as they followed a 26-23 road win over Miami with a 19-17 home defeat to Green Bay.

The Ravens closed as one-point underdogs and their backers were left upset with a two-point loss. Baltimore now holds a 3-3 SU and 3-3 ATS record ahead of this Week 7 road matchup in Pittsburgh.

Since the running game wasn't clicking against the Packers – Ray Rice had just 34 yards on 14 attempts – Joe Flacco had to take over and he did just that, completing 20-of-34 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns. Tandon Doss had 99 yards receiving, Dallas Clark had 81 yards and a score, and Jacoby Jones caught the other touchdown pass.

Looking over the statistics, we find Baltimore ranked #27 in total offense and #17 in total defense. Their best play has come in run defense, where they rank seventh in the NFL by allowing only 98.2 YPG.

However, the Steelers do most of their damage through the air, so this may not be the greatest matchup on paper for the visitors in Week 7.

Pittsburgh Steelers

It took five weeks, but the Steelers are finally on the board with a win after stuffing the New York Jets 19-6 on the road last weekend.

Ben Roethlisberger moved the ball well, hitting on 23-of-30 attempts for 264 yards and a touchdown, with most of the damage being done by Antonio Brown (86 yards), Heath Miller (84 yards) and Earl Sanders (70 yards and a TD).

However, it was the defense that dazzled most. The Jets were held to 267 total yards of offense and Geno Smith had two interceptions and was sacked three times in the loss.

If the Steelers can generate that kind of pressure and show up defensively once again, it's going to be tough goings for Flacco and the Ravens. The Steelers are allowing only 196.0 yards per game through the air so far this season.

Moreover, Pittsburgh, despite that poor 1-4 overall record, is ranked #17 in total offense and #6 in total defense. Will that translate into their second win of 2013 this week?

Week 7 Pick

It's always a physical bloodbath when the Steelers and Ravens meet up and this showdown at Heinz Field should be no different.

And, despite a very disappointing start to their season, Pittsburgh had to be encouraged with their play in that road win over the Jets and we feel as if they'll carry that over in hopes of notching their first home victory of the year. The Ravens have hardly been dominant on the road, losing to Buffalo and barely getting past Miami.

Not too often will you see the Steelers laying such a small number at home, so for our NFL picks we're going to take that sports betting value and back Roethlisberger and company to come through with their second straight "W".
