The Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins both picked up losses last week, with each held to some of their lowest scoring of the season.

Sunday’s NFL betting has the foes squaring off at Sun Life Stadium, where Miami is riding a 5-0 ATS streak.

Ravens edged in Buffalo

Baltimore fell short in a 23-20 setback against the Buffalo Bills, failing to cash as a 3.5-point road favorite. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco threw five interceptions, controlling the ball for a subpar 24 minutes of possession.

Flacco completed 25-of-50 passes for 347 yards through the air, reaching wide outs Torrey Smith and Marlon Brown for one touchdown each. Smith finished with a season-high 166 receiving yards on five catches, while Flacco and Co. reached paydirt in just 1-of-4 red zone trips.

Baltimore’s defense held the Bills to 350 total yards, with mates Chris Canty and Terrell Suggs logging one sack each. Suggs added a team-high nine tackles, while the battle’s combined 43 points ducked ‘Under’ the ‘total’ of 45.

Dolphins thrashed by Saints

Miami was dealt its first loss in Monday’s 38-17 defeat to the New Orleans Saints, dropping the contest as a seven-point road dog. The Dolphins gave up five touchdowns through the first three quarters, with three coming as part of New Orleans’ four red zone trips.

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill notched a combined 297 yards of passing and rushing, while tossing three interceptions. Miami’s Brandon Gibson and Charles Clay logged six catches each, with their offense notching 19 first downs in its 26 minutes with the ball.

The lopsided affair’s combined 55 points jumped ‘Over’ the ‘total’ of 48.5, with Miami flagged for five penalties (25 yards). Tannehill was brought down for four sacks, while running back Lamar Miller took in a five-yard score as part of his 11 carries.

Back the Ravens as road dogs

Miami opened as a three-point home favorite on the NFL betting odds board, with early wagers on Baltimore adding a minus 120 premium to its side. The ‘total’ was first set at 43, followed by ‘Over’ wagers lifting the digits a ‘hook’ to 43.5.

I am backing Baltimore as part of Sunday’s NFL picks, taking the short number on the road.

The Ravens have put up 23.5 PPG in their pair of spots away from home, while going 3-1 ATS in their last four trips to Miami. Baltimore has notched a 5-0 spread record in its last five spots against clubs with winning records, while surrendering just 12.7 PPG in the team’s last three weeks of action.

Miami was held to its lowest scoring of the year against New Orleans, despite the confines of a dome, while facing another tough foe on a short week here. The Dolphins are 1-5 ATS in their last six contests played after a Monday night game, while logging a 0-4 spread mark in their last four matchups that followed a spot of allowing more than 30 points.

For your sports picks, Look for Baltimore to regroup here with a cashed ticket, adding to the team’s 5-2 ATS mark in its last seven matchups with AFC rivals.
