Baltimore will likely kick off as road favorites in the NFL betting odds due to capturing three of its last four regular-season trips to Pittsburgh, which makes it the pick on Sunday Night Football.

Life On the Road
Baltimore will hit the road for the fourth time in five games, which is important to consider when looking over the NFL odds, as it looks to bounce back from a 27-24 setback to the Cincinnati Reds as 2.5-point favorites Sunday.

The Ravens will attempt to sweep the Steelers for just the third time in franchise history, as they earned a 26-6 victory as 2.5-point home favorites on Sept. 11—winning the statistical battle by just 22 yards.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the team is 7-2 SU and 6-2-1 ATS in November, with the UNDER going 6-3 in that situation.

Lighting Up the Scoreboard
Pittsburgh has scored 81 combined points in picking up home wins over the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 9 NFL picks, with both of those contests going OVER the betting total.

The Steelers may slow down offensively in this AFC North matchup, as they’ve been held to an average of 15.4 points in the last 12 regular-season meetings in this series.

Since the start of the 2012 campaign, the franchise is 3-6 SU and 3-5-1 ATS when revenging a loss against an opponent.

Don’t Forget About Flacco
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been showered with praise in recent weeks, but NFL handicappers shouldn’t overlook what Joe Flacco is doing on the other sideline, as he’s allowed the Ravens to lead the league with a plus-86 point differential.

Flacco has been sacked just nine times this season, while he’s tossed 10 touchdowns and just a single interception in his last eight games in this rivalry.

Home-field Advantage
During the Mike Tomlin era, Pittsburgh has compiled a dominating 44-16 (.733) regular-season record at Heinz Field, which is the fourth-best win percentage in the league over that span.

It’s still important to point out that the squad has failed to cover the number in 10 of its last 11 appearances on Sunday Night Baseball.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Ravens as one of their main football predictions, as they’ve gone 19-7-2 ATS in their last 28 games versus teams with a winning record.
