Join us as we rundown through week 9 NFL betting matchups and spot the best plays on offer in SU, ATS and Total markets for your most profitable NFL picks.

Best SU: Green Bay Over Carolina
This NFL pick rests solely on the incredible record the Green Bay Packers with Aaron Rodgers boast in the NFL following a loss. They are 14-0 in their last 14 games after a loss. The last time they suffered back-to-back losses was 2010. As a result, most NFL panels and analysts find the notion the Packers would go on a back-to-back losing streak in the NFL anathema. And we agree with this notion. The way they lost to the Denver Broncos won’t sit well with them, so we can expect a much better performance on both sides of the ball surely. Another thing to consider about this matchup is the feeling the Panthers’ 7-0 SU start on the season is smoke and mirrors. Let’s face it, every single team they’ve beaten this season boasted a losing record. The Packers are the first above .500 side they’ll be taking on. We’re about to see whether the Panthers are the real deal or not.

Best ATS: Falcons to cover in San Francisco
We’ve gone back and forth on this NFL pick as there are several games that could potentially give this one a run for its money as the best ATS NFL pick. Adding to the drama here is the fact that the NFL betting line opened around 3-points, but following the news of Kaepernick being shown the bench for this Sunday’s date with the Falcons it promptly jumped up to a score. It’s now trading around the 7-point mark.

It’s a lot of points to be giving the Falcons in one way. They haven’t been overly convincing in their last few games, not to mention losing twice in the last three weeks – 31-21 to the Saints and, most recently, 23-20 to the Bucs. However, with the news that Blaine Gabbert is set to start for the Niners, we’re almost convinced the Falcons are going to have a field day in San Francisco. Put it this way, if the Falcons don’t win or cover then they have a whole lot more problems than people thought early on in the season when they were singing their praises and complimenting Dan Quinn for the solid start to his coaching career in Atlanta. Heck, some had penned him for coach of the year award.

Best Total: Jaguars and Jets To Go OVER
The Jaguars and Jets are set to collide on Sunday in a game that is trading on a rather low total of 42-points or thereabouts depending on your sportsbook of choice. Jaguars have a 5-2 OVER record ahead of week 9 NFL betting, which includes a perceptible jump in points scored and conceded over the last three weeks. They are scoring 28.3 points and conceding 33.3 points on average. The Jets, meanwhile, are 4-3 in O/U betting this season. While their defense is lauded for conceding just an average of 19.9 points per game, they have been scoring 24.6-points per game. Putting these stats together, clearly the odds makers are hanging their hat on the Jets defense to keep this a low-scoring game. However, last weekend things didn’t go to plan in Oakland as the Jets lost 34-20. We think this week things could go the same way.
