At even money, I think Tony Gonzalez’s chances of finding the endzone in this game are awesome, and the value is there. As long as Matt Ryan can get protected long enough to find him, Gonzalez is an excellent choice to score today. For starters, both of his starting receivers are banged up (both listed on the injury report this week, although I think Julio Jones is as healthy as he can be) and with Steven Jackson beat up and missing this game too, Gonzalez may be Ryan’s only healthy target left.
Gonzalez tends to find the endzone against almost everyone, but the Dolphins so far this season haven’t done a great job of stopping opposing tight ends either. So far through two games, the Dolphins have given up 15 receptions, 199 yards and 2 touchdowns to opposing tight ends. That puts them as the 26th ranked team defending the tight end, and even though Gonzalez is on his last leg career-wise, he is still the greatest tight end to ever play the game. He should find the endzone against the Dolphins.
NFL Pick: Tony Gonzalez (+100)

Even though the status of Reggie Bush is still unknown, even if he plays, I still like the sports betting value being presented to us from his teammate and backup, Joique Bell. Bell is already the Lions goal line tailback, and if Bush is limited or doesn’t play at all, Bell’s value to score a touchdown is even higher. The NFL odds from the sportsbooks are very sharp because of this. Bell is only +110 to score a touchdown today, but against a very soft Redskins defense, I love his chances here.
So far the Skins have given up an embarrassing 651 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns to opposing running backs through 2 games. The Lions should have plenty of chances against the soft Skins defense today, and I could see Bell finding the endzone in this one, which he has already done a few times this early in the season.
NFL Pick: Joique Bell (+110)

Last week we cashed a huge prop of +225 with this same guy, and even though odds makers have smartened up about this player, I still think at +137, his value is still there to score today. Gio Bernard and the Bengals are playing a tough Packers team, and even if they’re behind early, Bernard should get touches still. He is already their third down back and is turning into their every down back with the way Benjarvus Green-Ellis is playing so far this season.
Although his value isn’t as good, I think we could still see Bernard running off a big touchdown carry or reception in this game. He should receive just as many touches (if not more) as Green-Ellis in this game, so I like our chances of doubling down on Bernard to score in back-to-back weeks for my football picks .
NFL Pick: Gio Bernard (+137)
