Neither one of these teams have been the pinnacle of offensive success, but recently, both defenses are stepping up their games. If the Jets had an offense, they would easily be a playoff team in the AFC this season, and if the Dolphins could play with some consistency, they may threaten a run too.
The 3 unanswered scores prop is great for these types of NFL Odds. The spread is very low, and the total is around 40 points. At +125, ‘No’ three unanswered scores seems like a great value between these two.
The Dolphins cashed this prop a few weeks ago against the Chargers, and while the Jets’ defense is a much greater foe, New York has averaged about 235 yards of total offense per game in their last two games. Since Geno Smith has been a turnover machine, I think that plays into the favor of a cash on this prop with a no bet.
The Jets being at home will help keep the Dolphins from running away with this game. They too have a defense that is finally starting to heat up, as they have allowed only 19 points per game over their last three games. It might be a wonder to see both of these teams score three times altogether, let alone three unanswered. For today's NFL picks I am going to take the value with the no at +125.
My Pick: ‘No’ 3 Unanswered Scores

Speaking of teams with offensive problems, the Jags and Browns meet in Cleveland this weekend, and while the Jags have won two of their last three games, the Browns are -7 ½ favorites. Even though I doubt the Browns can cover with Brandon Weeden as their starter, the field goal total of this game is nice at 3.5. A bet on the over has some value at +105, and I see it being the play here.
Weeden should move the ball some on the Jags’ defense, but he will almost surely falter in the red zone, leading to some field goals. Not only do both of these teams kick a lot, there are kicked on a lot, making this prop even more valuable.
Teams have made six field goals in three games against the Jags, almost all of them coming when the game is over. The Browns are even worse. Teams have attempted nine field goals against them in their last four games, making eight of them. Obviously a rate of two made field goals per team is what we are looking for, and we have it with these two teams over the last three or four weeks. They are both in the top half of the league in field goals made, and I think they will continue the kicking this week. Take the over.My Pick: ‘Over’ 3.5 Field Goals (+105)
