Kickoff is set for Sunday, 1:00 pm ET at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee. This game can be seen on CBS television. Is there a sure fire way of betting these NFL odds lines?

Prospects look bleak of securing a victory for the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-8) as they’re facing the possibility of going 0-16. See who we lean towards in their matchup this week against Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans (4-4).

According to Bet 365 Sportsbook, the Titans are listed as a heavy 12.5 point betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 41.

How Bad Are They?

Even a .500 team like Tennessee is worthy of being such a heavy betting favorite against the Jags. I suggest that the Jaguars give Tim Tebow a call because there’s nothing positive going on with this organization. Maurice Jones-Drew is the entire Jaguars running game and he’s having an awful season, averaging 3.2 yards per carry to go along with his 391 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season. Tennessee’s next leading rusher is Jordan Todman with just 42 yards rushing on the season.

Drop Him!

When you have a team that is this weak and vulnerable and your one shining star in Justin Blackmon is suspended for drug usage, he should be waived on the spot. The Jaguars are without their 2nd leading receiver in Blackmon, who has the potential of being a superstar in this league. This leaves Chad Henne with wide receiver Cecil Shorts (565 yards, 1 TD) and entire list of “fill-ins”. That said, Henne has done a fairly good job of quarterbacking this team and staying away from mistakes. Henne had some big moments in Miami, but the Fins didn’t think that he was worthy of the franchise tag.

Jacksonville is coming off of a 42-10 loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49’ers. Jacksonville’s 31st ranked rushing couldn’t compete with the Niners nor could their 32nd ranked rushing defense which allows 161.8 yards per game.

Opportunity for CJ

Chris Johnson isn’t the player that he once was when he since signing a big contract, but he’s better than anything that the Jaguars have to offer and is coming off of a big performance against the St.Louis Rams in a 28-21 victory.

Johnson rushed for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Rams; that’s the “CJ” of old. Johnson will have major opportunity in this game as there should be big holes to run through, created by his offensive line. Jacksonville’s defense is unable to stop the run and with a journeyman like Kellen Clemens at quarterback for the Titans, expect to see a lot of Chris Johnson in this game. If Johnson reverts back to his previous form and the offense is forced to look to pass, Clemens is capable and has the trio of Kendall Wright, Nate Washington, and Delanie Walker to throw the football to.

This game should be just as it appears on paper; an ugly game. Nonetheless, the Titans have plenty of motivation to win as they’re in the thick of the hunt for a playoff spot in the chaotic AFC.

When Blackmon was suspended, that was the final nail in the coffin of the Jaguars season. This team has absolutely no running game and Chad Henne can run hot and cold. The spread is high, but the Titans are the best NFL pick in this spot.
