Expectations run high for the Packers in the coming season, namely with projected season win totals set to 11 wins. Can they crack this lofty total? Find out as we sift through the NFL schedule and serve up game-by-game predictions and NFL picks.

Green Bay Packers One Of Top Faves
The Green Bay Packers enter the 2015 season as one of the teams to spot in Super Bowl betting markets, second overall favorites to win it all at +700 NFL odds across most sports betting platforms. To say expectations run high is an understatement.

Last season, the Packers were three minutes away from advancing into the Super Bowl, only to spectacularly collapse against the Seahawks and lose 28-22 in OT. It was the worst defeat of their season in every sense, undoing all the brilliant performances that preceded it, not to mention cracking the 10.5 projected season win total for 2014 – incidentally, that was an NFL pick that we not only recommended but also garnished with a 12-4 SU projection. We were spot on with both

In any event, there's no sense in crying over spilt Budweiser in Wisconsin. That was then. A new season is on the horizon and, quite rightly, the future looks bright for the Cheese Nation on several scores.

A fifth NFC North title appears to be all but a certainty at -275 NFL odds – their nearest threat the Detroit Lions are trading at whopping +450 NFL odds, never mind the rest of the field – and with it a spot in the playoffs. Where things could get tricky is in the race for the NFC top seed. The Packers are sure to face stiff opposition over the course of the season, more so than last season because of a special NFL scheduling twist that draws the NFC North and NFC West against one another. Indeed, the Packers will face their biggest NFC rivals in week 2 NFL betting, a clash that could set the tone for the rest of their respective seasons.

Speaking of the NFL schedule, the Packers have been dealt with the 14th toughest schedule in the league, highlighted by a 0.529 winning percentage. A touch tougher than last year's schedule that boasted a 0.504 winning percentage but ranked 13th overall. That said there's a lot to like about how the games stack up, with four home games in the first six weeks before a week 7 bye and just one divisional opponent in the last four games of the season. Initiated NFL bettors know just how well they performed both at Lambeau field last season (8-0 SU) and against the division (5-1 SU). Overall, they have been favored with five Primetime slots (2 Thursday, 2 Sunday and 1 Monday), including a special request for Thanksgiving Thursday's Primetime slot, generously awarded by the NFL, to allow the Packers to honour Brett Favre.

So, with the NFL schedule out and the projected season win totals set to the tune of 11 wins for the Green Bay Packers, find out what our predictions for each and every game are and what our final projected total is. It's worth mentioning, odds makers are being rather coy in early markets, setting the both OVER and UNDER 11 at -110 NFL odds. Guess, they want to see which way the wind of public perception blows.

Week 1: vs. Chicago (road), Sunday, Sept 13 at 1 PM
The John Fox era is set to debut against one of the toughest opponents in the NFC field and a side that has won all five of its last visits to Soldier Field. Granted John Fox is a respected coach in the NFL and he could bring a new dynamic to the Bears, which is sorely needed, mind. There's also the fact that the Packers have lost three season openers in a row to consider.

However, that NFL betting trend appears to be on the verge of ending. Two words (or common nouns) spring to mind: Jay Cutler. The poor lad is just 1-10 against the Packers and that's a startling stat to boast when coming up against last year's MVP. Rodgers had a brilliant season last year and he boasts an 11-3 record against the Bears. This is a matchup that will play into his hands nicely, so there really is only one way to slice this game on your NFL picks: a Packers win.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 1-0

Week 2: vs. Seattle (home) Sunday, Sept 20 at 8:30 PM
It's the NFC Championship rematch in week 2 of NFL betting [insert dramatic shiver]. The Packers lost twice to the Seattle Seahawks last season, in their opening game and, even more brutally, in the NFC Championship game when they fritted away a hefty lead to lose 28-22 in OT. The Packers must be keen to set the record straight finally. With the eyes of the nation watching closely on Primetime TV and the luscious lawns of Lambeau Field under their feet, one really has to fancy their chances in NFL betting markets. This is a matter of pride and throwing down the NFC gauntlet.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 2-0

Week 3: vs. Kansas City (home) Monday, Sept 28 at 8:30 PM
A second straight Primetime slot, another big opponent descending on Lambeau Field. It's going to help the Packers that they have one additional day to prepare for this pivotal game, especially if week 2 doesn't fall in line with our NFL predictions (above) and the Seahawks do somehow manage to put a stain on the Packers' home record. Rodgers hasn't lost back to back games at home since 2008, so in the event of the unthinkable home loss in week 2, this is surely going to be a bounce back game for the Packers. Whichever way you slice week 2 and 3, we're sticking to our guns and going with another home win on our NFL picks as the Packers soar to a 3-0 start on 2015.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 3-0

Week 4: vs. San Francisco (road), Sunday, Oct 4 at 4:25 PM
The Packers went just 4-4 SU on the road last season, highlighted by a couple of strange defeats to the Saints and Bills. This is exactly one of those games that could go against the grain in NFL betting, especially if the Packers take it for granted that the Niners are in transition. Reality is San Fran boasts a 4-0 SU record against the Packers since 2012, including two postseason wins. Of course, Jim Harbaugh is no longer with San Fran and that could be the key element towards the Packers finally enjoying success. Then again, the remodelled Niners could yet surprise. We're of two minds about this game, but if we're to make an early prediction then we're going with the narrow loss.

NFL Picks: Loss
Record: 3-1

Week 5: vs. St. Louis (home), Sunday, Oct 11 at 1 PM
Back home in week 5 NFL betting, the Packers welcome the Nick Foles inspired Rams to Lambeau. Foles lead the Eagles to a 27-13 win over the Packers in his first start for Philadelphia two years ago. The important caveat here is that Rodgers was injured and Tolzien was calling the shots. It'll be interesting to see how this matchup unfolds this time around with Foles in Rams colours and supported by a formidable defense. Still, it's Lambeau Field and we like the Packers to continue rolling at home.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 4-1

Week 6: vs. San Diego (home), Sunday, Oct 18 at 4:25 PM
This is a tough game to predict when it's still uncertain if Philip Rivers will be the quarterback in San Diego come the start of the 2015 NFL betting season. Then again, expecting Philip Rivers to deliver the win at Lambeau Field is a bit of a stretch, don't you think. Sure, he can give as good (well almost) as Rodgers, but closing out the win on the road in the impenetrable fortress...watch this space.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 5-1

Week 7: Bye

Week 8: vs. Denver (road), Sunday Nov 1 at 8:30 PM
Conquering Mile High is nigh impossible as conquering Lambeau Field is. This should be a cracking Sunday Night Primetime extravaganza for NFL bettors to sink their teeth into, featuring two of the top scoring teams of last season. It helps the Packers that they'll be coming off a bye week and will have had ample time to prepare for Peyton Manning and Co. They should play well against the Denver Broncos, but fall short in the end on the scoreboard.

NFL Picks: Loss
Record: 5-2

Week 9: vs. Carolina (road), Sunday Nov 8 at 1 PM
A trip to Carolina is never an easy one; just as the Seattle Seahawks who were forced to grind out the 13-9 win on their trip to the deep South. For the Packers, though, this seems to be a good matchup. They're dialled in to the Panthers' game, having won six of the last eight, including a 38-17 win at Lambeau last season. It's hard to go against the Packers on our NFL picks in this matchup, even if they are on the road for a second straight week.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 6-2

Week 10: vs. Detroit (home), Sunday Nov 15 at 1 PM
Divisional rivals Detroit Lions split the series with the Packers last season, both sides winning at home. The Lions handed the Packers a 19-7 loss in week 3 NFL betting and the Packers returned the favor in week 17 NFL betting, defeating the Lions 30-20 en route to the NFC title. This should be another heated divisional rivalry, but the balance tips in favor of the Packers on our NFL picks, mainly on the strength of 24 straight home wins over the Lions.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 7-2

Week 11: vs. Minnesota (road), Sunday Nov 22 at 1 PM
Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings gave the Packers a serious run for their money last season, but Rodgers managed to lead his side to the 24-21 win eventually. A lot hangs in the balance with Adrian Peterson and his tenure with the Vikings. Does he stay or go. Assuming he stays, he could singlehandedly ride roughshod over the Packers. Still, one has to trust in the experience of Rodgers and his 10-4 SU record against the Vikings. Those are NFL betting trends that speak volumes.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 8-2

Week 12: vs. Chicago (home), Thursday, Nov 26 at 8:30 PM
One fears for the Bears here after the 55-14 rout on their last visit to Lambeau. This season, Chicago have the dubious honour of playing at Lambeau Field on a cold, November night. Primetime Football marking Thanksgiving in the US and a night the Packers have chosen to honour Brett Favre, only another quarterback that dominated the Bears in his heyday as Rodgers does now. You can imagine just how charged and electric the atmosphere is going to be. Practically see the gruesome massacre unfolding already as Rodgers and the Packers ruthlessly clinch the home win. Few NFL bettors are going to go against the Packers here.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 9-2

Week 13: vs. Detroit (road), Thursday, Dec 3 at 8:30
For a second straight Thursday, the Packers will own the Primetime slot. Once again, against a divisional opponent. Last season, the Lions beat the Packers 19-7 at home for the second straight time. They've got a score to settle you could say. This season, the Lions aren't as formidable as last year on defense and that could prove the key factor to Rodgers lighting up Ford Field. It's a tossup really on our NFL picks, but we're going with the Packers anyway.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 10-2

Week 14: vs. Dallas (home), Sunday, Dec 13 at 4:25 PM
This is a rematch of the NFC playoffs as the Dallas Cowboys ride into Lambeau. Last season, Tony Romo and the Cowboys were the best team on the road, winning all eight games. Shocking. As such, one can't write them off completely for this game on their NFL picks. However, with the season winding down the Packers will buckle down. Rodgers plays well against the Cowboys and that NFL betting trend is likely to continue with home field advantage.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 11-2

Week 15: vs. Oakland (road), Sunday, Dec 20 at 4:05 PM
On paper, this looks to be a straightforward road game for the Packers. The Raiders have been one of the worst teams in the NFL in recent seasons and that isn't about to change if the NFL odds board were any indication. The Packers get an easy road win here.

NFL Picks: Win
Record: 12-2

Week 16: vs. Arizona (road), Sunday, Dec 27 at 4:25 PM
This is going to be a tough road trip for the Packers. if not a tough road win to clinch. The Cardinals punched above their perceived weight class last season and the prognosis in NFL betting markets is favorable for 2015. They are a disciplined, no nonsense side. Coached very well by Coach of the Year Bruce Arians. The Cardinals' fifth best scoring defense could give Rodgers some headaches.

NFL Picks: Loss
Record: 12-3

Week 17: vs. Minnesota (home), Sunday, Jan 3 at 1 PM
The Packers close the season at home with a big win over divisional rivals Minnesota Vikings. The visitors have had little joy at Lambeau Field and the NFL odds are sure to be stacked against them for a game that most likely will be meaningless for the Visitors, save to play for pride.

NFL Picks: Win
Record:13-3

NFL Betting Verdict
Odds makers project an 11 win total for the Packers with the OVER and UNDER trading on par at Bovada. As you can see, we're foretelling a brilliant season for the Packers with a 13-3 SU record, possibly even a 14-2 SU record (they win the San Fran game after all). Obviously, our recommended NFL pick is to take the OVER 11 at -110 at sportsbooks like Bovada.
