The Eagles pass defense has been atrocious in the early going this season, which will lead to Sunday night’s NFL game against the Giants to go OVER the betting total.

Back On Track
The sky was falling in the Big Apple after New York opened up with an 0-2 SUATS record, but the team has managed to win three games in a row, including a 30-20 victory over the Atlanta Falcons as four-point home favorites in Week 5.

Giants signal-caller Eli Manning has completed 66.3 percent of his passes to date, which is important to consider when making your NFL betting picks, considering that’s the highest five-game figure of his career.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the franchise is 7-10 SU and 7-9-1 ATS when the NFL odds are between +3 to -3.

Air Control
Philadelphia is 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS through five games of the season, but its second season under Chip Kelly hasn’t been very impressive, especially since the squad has been out-gained by a triple-digit margin in its last three contests.

The Eagles are simply difficult to back as betting favorites at this point in time, as they’ve surrendered an NFL-high 13 touchdown passes, which is bad news when preparing to face a quarterback that’s tossed 11 scores in 2014.

NFL handicappers will find that the team is 4-4 SU and 2-5-1 ATS as home favorites of three or fewer points since 2012.

Favorite Time of Year
Manning enters this NFC East rivalry game with a 95.6 passer rating, which is far better than his career mark of 81.2—a clear indicator that he’s growing more comfortable in first-year coordinator Ben McAdoo’s system.

The former Ole Miss star is 18-11 ATS on the road in his career against division opponents, while he’s compiled a 30-7 SU mark in the month of October.

Out of the Backfield
The Eagles should target running backs LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles in the passing game, as the Giants have faltered defensively in trying to cover players out of the backfield this season.

Philadelphia’s dynamic duo has combined for 30 catches on the season, which should allow quarterback Nick Foles plenty of opportunities to pick up big yardage in hopes of winning his eighth consecutive regular season home game.

I’m going to recommend that readers play the total as one of their top NFL picks, as the OVER is 5-1 in the Eagles’ last six games at Lincoln Financial Field.
