Week 6 of the season has arrived and it’s time once again for my prop betting picks for Thursday Night Football between the Bears and Giants. The NFL odds for this one favor the Bears by a touchdown, but let’s see if we can find value in other areas for this game, most notably, the prop betting options given to us by Bet365 sportsbook.
Alshon Jeffery is starting to become one of the breakout candidates this season for the Bears, as the second-year pro is starting to become yet another huge weapon for Jay Cutler. Jeffery had a quiet rookie season and first few games this year, but has come on over the last two weeks, and is quickly looking like a stud next to Brandon Marshall.
Jeffery has been a beast over the last two weeks, catching 325 yards worth of Cutler passes in just his last two games. He followed up 107-yard performance two weeks ago in Detroit with a 218-yard performance last week against the Saints. This week against a weak Giants secondary that will be focused on Brandon Marshall, I see Jeffrey coming through once again. I doubt it will be to the tune of over 200 yards again, but his receiving yards total in the NFL Odds is only 70.5 this week, and I see the over offering value for our NFL picks.
My Pick: Alshon Jeffrey ‘Over’ 70.5 receiving yards (-125)

Another Bears player that I have my eye on tonight is Martellus Bennett, aka The Black Unicorn. Bennett has been relatively quiet over the last few weeks, but he has the ability to get into the end zone this week against a sorry Giants defense, and I am taking a bite. At +150, there is huge value with Bennett getting a touchdown here tonight.
For starters, the Giants have already given up 5 touchdowns through five games to opposing tight ends, and with no linebacker on their roster that can cover him one-on-one, Bennett should be roaming free for most of the evening, especially in the red zone.
This will be especially true if the Giants pay more attention to the other high profile Bears on offense. Matt Forte and Brandon Marshall are going to be handfuls already, but with the emergence of Jeffery and the skills of Bennett, I think the Giants will be to preoccupied to worry too much about Bennett.
The Bears love to throw in the red zone this season, and Bennett is close to Marshall this season in red zone targets for Chicago. I see the Giants selling out to stop Marshall and Forte in the red zone, leaving Bennett wide open for his first score since Week 2.
My Pick: Martellus Bennett TD Scored (+150)

Giants Team total
At 20 points, the Giants’ team total may be a bit too high for a Thursday game, and that’s why I am going with the under here. The Giants have scored approximately seven points total in their last two road games, and even though the Bears’ defense has been shaky this season, with the unbalanced Giants’ offense, I see Chicago coming to play tonight on defense.
The Giants have little to no run game and with the talented cornerbacks for Chicago, I don’t see Victor Cruz or Hakeem Nicks having two great games in this one. Thursday night games have already been sloppy and lower scoring for the most part, and I see another game of that style tonight in Chicago. The Bears will be able to get pressure on Eli Manning and force him into mistakes, something the Bears have been good at over the last few seasons. I see multiple turnovers for New York, which will lead to them staying under 20 points tonight.
My Pick: ‘Under’ 20 (-120)
