It's desperation time for the Giants as they are 0-2 & 0-3 teams just don't make the playoffs. Tom Coughlin's job depends on that. Let's examine some NY player props odds vs. Redskins at sportsbooks.

Odds From-   5Dimes | BetOnline | Bookmaker | Bovada | Heritage | GTbets | WagerWeb | SportsBetting | BetDSI

Redskins Score 1st +125 (best line at 5Dimes)

1st Score TD -140  (best line at Bovada)
FG or Safety +135  (best line at Bookmaker)

The Giants could easily be 2-0, but they have had two fourth-quarter meltdowns, both really on Eli Manning's shoulders and not so much Coughlin's. But if the G-Men lose here, Coughlin could be gone soon because New York then has a very tough game in Buffalo next Sunday. I doubt that Coughlin, the oldest coach in the NFL and longest-tenured in the NFC, survives a 0-4 start. He is currently the +400 second-favorite on NFL odds to be the first fired.

But being 0-2 doesn't mean all is lost. For one, the NFC East is wide open with Dallas losing Tony Romo and Dez Bryant until late November. Secondly, the Eagles are a hugely disappointing 0-2 as well. And the Giants can take some solace that since 1990, when the current playoff format was instituted, 24 teams have started 0-2 and made the playoffs. The 2007 Giants did so and upset unbeaten New England in  Super Bowl XLII. They are one of three teams to begin 0-2 and win a Super Bowl ('93 Cowboys, '01 Patriots). So it's not over yet.

Manning 'Over/Under' 23.5 Completions, 266.5 Yards, 1.5 TD passes

Will Manning Throw An Interception: Yes -140, No +110
Manning 'Over' 300 Passing Yards: Yes-Only +140
Manning doesn't have great numbers thus far. He is 47-for-76 for 485 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. That's good for a rating of 89.0, which is only 22nd in the NFL. His completion percentage is 23rd and his yards per attempt 27th (but still much better than brother Peyton's). Manning has largely played pretty well the first three quarters of the first two games but in the fourth he has either struggled, made mental errors or done both that have cost New York wins. Manning does tend to play well -- or at least put up numbers -- against fellow NFC East teams. Since entering the league in 2004, Manning has passed for 15,773 yards against the NFC East, the third-most passing yards against a player’s own division during that span. Last year, the Giants swept the Redskins for the second straight season. In a 45-14 victory in Washington, also on a Thursday night, Manning was 28-for-39 for 300 yards with four touchdowns (one more rushing) and one pick for a rating of 117.5. In a 24-13 home win over the Redskins, Manning was 23-for-34 for 250 yards with three scores and no picks, a rating of 118.5. Washington is No. 2 in the NFL in passing yards allowed at 328.0. It has allowed two touchdown passes and no picks. The QBs the Skins have seen are Miami's Ryan Tannehill and the Rams' Nick Foles.

NFL Free Picks: This is Washington's first road game and the best QB the Skins have seen thus far. I say Manning has a big game. 'Over,' all, yes on pick and yes on 300 yards.

Odell Beckham Jr. O/U 6.5 Receptions, 97.5 Receiving Yards

Beckham To Score A TD And Giants Win Game +110
Just think if the former LSU star hadn't missed the first four games of last season due to a hamstring issue. Beckham Jr., who has played 14 career games, already has become the fastest player in NFL history to 100 receptions (he has 103) and his 1,495 receiving yards are the  most for any player through 14 games of his career. Beckham has been targeted 20 times by Manning this season and has 12 catches for 190 yards and a 67-yard touchdown. He was pretty quiet Week 1 in Dallas but had a big game Sunday against Atlanta. Beckham isn't getting much help from other receivers as the Giants remain without No. 2 Victor Cruz, who won't play Thursday. Preston Parker has the second-best numbers among wide receivers on the team with just five catches for 43 yards. Reuben Randle has been a big disappointment with four catches for 28 yards. If I'm the Redskins, there's no way I'm not double-teaming Beckham. But Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo has been trying to find ways to get Beckham free. In the first half of the Falcons game, Beckham had 10 passes thrown and caught six for 139 yards and the TD. In the second half, either the Falcons adjusted or Manning messed up because Beckham had only two targets and one catch for 7 yards. Beckham didn't play in the first game vs. the Redskins last year. In the second, he had 15 targets and caught 12 passes for 143 yards and three touchdowns in his best game of the season.

NFL Free Picks: If Manning has a big game, that means Beckham Jr. should too. That Washington secondary isn't all that great. After going away from Beckham in the second half last week, the Giants will feed him a heavy dose of targets here. 'Over' both as the best props NFL picks and yes.
