Week 12 NFL Money Line Recap
Our week 12 NFL betting picks for winners and losers went 9-7, improving our overall record to 102-74-0 for the season.

Packers vs. Lions
NFL pundits and experts alike aren’t convinced by the Packers of late. Can you blame them? Not really, seeing how the Packers are freefalling in the NFC North since going 6-0 SU to start the season. Almost during the same time, the Lions seem to have perked up. Reeling off three straight wins and going a perfect 3-0 ATS to boot. During that run of form, they upset the Packers at Lambeau Field. Shocker. Yet, odds makers roll out an NFL betting offering with the Packers installed as the road favorites. Granted those NFL odds have come down since advanced betting odds had the Packers as significant road favorites on a touchdown line or thereabouts. Fact is, the Packers have a lot at stake here. This is a must-win game for Aaron Rodgers and the Pac-men if they hope to make good on their preseason playoff upside. Fact is, the Lions have nothing much to play for but pride. Plus, the Packers came close to winning the game over the Lions, only for a botched field goal. It’s not like the Lions crushed the Packers on the road is it. When push came to shove, the Packers came good in Minnesota. True they lost last Thursday to the Bears at home, but two losses in a row to divisional rivals is just hard to fathom.

NFL Picks: Packers -135 BetOnline

Ravens vs. Dolphins
In one of the most bizarre games of the season, the Ravens defeated the Browns on the road. A topsy-turvy Monday Night Football game that provided some entertainment at least in lieu of any significance in the broad spectrum of the season. In winning, the Ravens improve their horrible season to 4-7 SU and Matt Schaub begins his NFL season as a starter with a 1-0 SU mark. The Dolphins, meanwhile, slipped to a 4-7 SU start behind a 38-20 loss at home to the New York Jets. This game is totally up for grabs and up in the air. Neither team is particularly convincing, nor should NFL bettors react overly to last week’s results. That said, the Dolphins are trading at whopping -200 NFL odds. How they can be so highly favored against a team that is practically dead even on the season with a 4-7 SU record boggle’s the mind. This is a pure money-line motivated NFL pick as a result: take the tempting underdogs on the road and cross your fingers they payout!

Falcons vs. Buccaneers
The Falcons have flattered to deceive of late. Since starting 5-0 SU on the season, they’ve been in freefall winning just one of their last six games. Things aren’t looking good and, most concerning, is Matt Ryan’s uncertain play at quarterback. That’s just not a good sign. On the flipside, the Bucs are showing some spunk. They’ve won three of their last five games, including a 23-20 win over Atlanta on the road and a big 45-17 win over the Eagles two weeks ago. Granted they slipped up last week in Indianapolis, but some allowances could be made for rookie quarterback Jameis Winston. He was coming off his biggest account yet in week 11 and it was a second straight road game. The Bucs look like they’ve figured things out while the Falcons appear to have lost the plot.

NFL Picks: Buccaneers -120 bet365

Bengals vs. Browns
This has to be an absolute no-brainer on your NFL picks. Bengals, Bengals, Bengals all the way. Colour the world shocked if the Browns pull off the upset here….. did you see the kick-six on Monday? Uuuuff!

NFL Picks: Bengals -440 Pinnacle

Jets vs. Giants
This is one of the most intriguing games of the week as the Jets and Giants grapple in the Big Apple. The Jets are slightly favored over the Giants after both enjoyed contrasting fortunes in week 12 NFL betting. The Jets outgunned, outmuscled and outplayed the Dolphins on the road while the Giants fell miserably to the Redskins on the road. That said both these teams are unpredictable and it’s anybody’s guess which team shows up on the day? Predictably, consensus betting is split on these two outfits almost down the middle. Early sharp bettors though appear to be all over the Jets, so we’re taking a cue there. Fade the public and take the Jets.

NFL Picks: Jets -124 Pinnacle

Seahawks vs. Vikings
The Seahawks are nominal road underdogs in this game? Seriously? Ok, so the Seahawks haven’t dazzled exactly this season, but this is still an experienced team that plays some of its best football down the stretch when push comes to shove. The Vikings have punched above their weight class and currently lead the NFC North. However, the last time they were in this position they crumbled under the pressure of the occasion with a big loss to the Packers. They get a second crack at advancing their bid for top spot in the NFC North here, but they couldn’t have been given a tougher assignment.

NFL Picks: Seahawks -105 The Greek

Texans vs. Bills
The Texans are riding a four-game winning streak since week 8 of the season and parting ways with Ryan Mallet. After coming out of a bye it’s not been an easy stretch either with a MNF win over the previously undefeated Bengals and back-to-back home wins over Jets and Saints. The Bills aren’t pushovers, and seeing that this game is going to go a long way towards determining the AFC wildcard race home advantage does give them an edge. However, the Texans defense has been stellar since the bye week and Tyrod Taylor and company are going to have a tough time.

NFL Picks: Texans +150 Westgate

Cardinals vs. Rams
The Cardinals are easily one of the best teams in the NFC right now, underscored by their lofty 9-2 SU mark, which includes 5-1 SU mark on the road. They enjoyed a rare loss earlier this season to the Rams, an upset at the sports betting exchanges. There’s no way the Rams are going to sweep the series here, is there? We’re taking the Cardinals on our NFL picks to redress the balance.

NFL Picks: Cardinals -242 Pinnacle

49ers vs. Bears
The Chicago Bears are coming off a huge upset on the road, beating the Packers at Lambeau Field for the first time in like forever. Not to mention putting a damper on their special Brett Favre day. It’s going to be important that the Bears avoid the let-down that typically follows a big win. Home field advantage hasn’t been a charm this season – they are only 1-4 SU at home. They haven’t won at home since the 22-20 win over the Raiders in October. That said, they’ve had visits from top sides such as Minnesota and Denver since then. Earlier losses have also come to Green Bay and Arizona. The Niners don’t line up with any of those standout teams. The Bears really should win.

NFL Picks: Bears -325 Heritage

Jaguars vs. Titans
This is one of the biggest tossups on the NFL schedule as far as the win market goes. The Jaguars are 1-4 SU on the road while the Titans are a cringing 0-6 SU at home. Something is going to have to give when these AFC South rivals collide in Tennessee.  There’s a lot to like about the quarterbacks in this game – Blake Bortles and Marcus Mariota – and their intrinsic battle should make it for good watching. We’re giving the slight edge to the Jaguars but we won’t be surprised if the Titans edge the win either.

NFL Picks: Jaguars +125 BetOnline

Broncos vs. Chargers
The Broncos are firm favorites on the NFL odds board when they descend on the San Diego Chargers on the road. Brock Osweiler is 2-0 SU as a starter and the Broncos’ playoff bid looks to be alive and healthy while Peyton Manning recovers from his foot injury. The Chargers finally snapped the negative trend in week 12, but a win over the Jaguars on the road is nothing to get charged about. This is going to be a much tougher ask for Philip Rivers and his Chargers against one of the best defenses in the league.

NFL Picks: Broncos -190 5Dimes

Chiefs vs. Raiders
The Kansas City Chiefs are enjoying a mini-resurgence in the league, riding a five-game winning streak into week 13 NFL betting. It marks the second best run of form right now, equalled by the Arizona Cardinals. Only the Panthers are better with an 11-game winning streak this season. The Raiders, meanwhile, snapped a three-game losing streak with a road win in Tennessee. It’s a win over the Titans though. Not much takeaway there.

NFL Picks: Chiefs -140 BetOnline

Panthers vs. Saints
The Panthers are riding an 11-game winning streak into week 13 NFL betting. They are now the only undefeated team after Patriots succumbed to a shocking loss to Brock Osweiler and the Broncos on the road. Going back to last season, the Panthers are an incredible 15-0 SU in their last 15 regular season games. The Saints meanwhile are just as awful (if not worse) than they were last season. They were stifled 24-6 in Houston last week. They are back home this week where they are a positive 3-2 SU. Looking into those wins though they came against Tampa, Dallas and NY Giants. Enough said.

NFL Picks: Panthers -295 Pinnacle

Eagles vs. Patriots
Patriots were left reeling at Mile High as Brock Osweiler and the Broncos came-from-behind to win the game. Tom Brady wasn’t best pleased to have his perfect start on the season so derailed by an unheralded quarterback. Most concerning, the Patriots did suffer key injuries to Gronkowski, mainly. If there’s a team and coach that can overcome such hurdles, it’s the Patriots and Bill Belichick. They are at home in week 13 where they are a perfect 6-0 SU. Eagles are just not talented enough to mastermind the upset here.

NFL Picks: Patriots -460 JustBet

Colts vs. Steelers
This could be the game when Matt Hasselbeck comes crashing back down to earth. The 40-year-old veteran has gone 4-0 SU in his four lone starts in relief for Andrew Luck. However, in the Steelers, it doesn’t get any tougher. Particularly at Heinz Field arena where Big Ben and the Steelers can light it up. Steelers are 6-5 SU on the season and in the hunt for a wildcard playoff spot. It’s a must-win game. The game is currently off the board as news of Big Ben and his concussion protocol is assessed. However, from early reports it looks promising and there’s good reason to assume he’ll start. If he does, the Steelers are a no-brainer on our NFL picks.

NFL Picks: Steelers

Cowboys vs. Redskins
The Washington Redskins are simply too good at home it would seem. They are horrible on the road and can’t seem to buy a win no matter how hard they try. In the nation’s capital, they improved to 5-1 SU with a 20-14 win over the Giants last week and took control of the dysfunctional NFC East. The Cowboys season goes from bad to worse as Tony Romo suffers his second injury – this time season ending. Without Tony Romo, the Cowboys couldn’t win a game. In all likelihood, the same will hold true here. How can we mke the Cowboys the NFL pick here?

NFL Picks: Redskins -210 Bookmaker
