As we rundown through week 2 NFL matchups, we serve up choice straight up NFL picks for each and every game. Find out which teams we’re predicting to be winners and losers in week 2.

Week 1 NFL Betting Recap
At the close of Monday Night Football’s double-header, we finished with a solid 11-5 winning record on our NFL picks in straight up betting markets. Not bad for week 1 NFL betting, a notoriously tough week to call NFL picks.

Overall, it was a great start to our NFL 2015-2016 handicapping exercise, which included going 13-3 with our ATS NFL picks and 9-7 in total betting NFL picks. We look forward to another solid turnout with our NFL picks as we rundown through week 2's slate and serve up game-by game NFL picks in straight up betting markets.

Live Week 2 NFL Betting Odds

*Broncos +150 vs. Chiefs -170* WINNER
The Broncos take a solid 6-0 SU record over the Chiefs to Arrowhead on Thursday Night, an untainted record that goes back to the start of the Peyton Manning era in Denver. Laws of Averages suggests trends inevitably end though: the Chiefs are bound to get one over the Broncos eventually. Curiously, that notion never enjoyed as much momentum as it has now, following the contrasting accounts of the Broncos and Chiefs in week 1 NFL betting. Broncos O-line left much to be desired while the Chiefs O-line soared. Should NFL bettors take those accounts at face value or stick to established trends. Keep in mind the Chiefs faced journeyman Brian Hoyer and backup Ryan Mallet in week 1 while Peyton Manning crossed swords with a worthy opponent in Joe Flacco. Put it this way: until proven otherwise the Broncos are a steal NFL pick as the road underdogs in our books.
NFL Picks: Broncos +150 at Bet365

Cardinals -123 vs. Bears +102
It’s easy to understand why the Cardinals, coming off an 11-5 SU season, are the road faves over the Bears, coming off a 5-11 SU season. It’s a new era under John Fox in the windy city and while they are coming off an opening loss to the Green Bay Packers there were plenty of positives to give Chicago fans some hope for the coming season. That said, the Cardinals are one of the best coached outfits and they are solid on both sides of the ball. If the Bears are to beat them they’ll need to do just about everything better than the Cardinals. That’s what they had to do against the Packers but failed. What are the chances they’ll come back in seven days and pull it off against a second straight playoff contender from last season? Slim, to be fair.
NFL Picks: Cardinals -123 BetOnline

Falcons +108 vs. Giants -128
Atlanta Falcons were rather fortunate to sneak away with the win at home to the Philadelphia Eagles. While they did start brightly they ran out of steam in the second half, and only a botched field-goal attempt by the Eagles allowed the Falcons to clinch the opening win. Giants, meanwhile, were well on their way to beating the Cowboys in week 1, only for a questionable decision by Coughlin and Manning in the dying minutes of the game coming back to bite them. NY media hasn’t minced words weighing in on the Giants’ opening account. NY Giants simply must save face in week 2 NFL betting.
NFL Picks: Giants -128 at 5Dimes

Lions +130 vs. Vikings -150
The Detroit Lions collapsed spectacularly in week 1 NFL betting, allowing the Chargers to rally back for the win. Vikings were crushed by the Niners in a 20-3 loss that saw Teddy Bridgewater grazing the luscious lawn of Levi Stadium more than he would have liked. Both these teams have something to prove in week 2 NFL betting. The Vikings may have the home edge, but we’re leaning towards the Lions on our NFL picks as the road underdogs.
NFL Picks: Lions +130 at Bet365

Texans +145 vs. Panthers -170
Texans were wholly off colour and off form in week 1 NFL betting on both sides of the ball. Panthers, meanwhile, did just enough to quash the Jaguars in a 20-9 win. It’s still uncertain whether Brian Hoyer or Ryan Mallet will start in week 2, but one gets the feeling that whichever quarterback gets the nod he will playing his little heart out to get earn the starting job for the foreseeable. This should be a close game that could go either way. For our money, we’re backing the Texans to bounce back from their week 1 loss.
NFL Picks: Texans +150 at BetOnline

Patriots -120 vs. Bills +100
Tom Brady and the Patriots were superb in their Thursday Night Football opener against the Steelers. The four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback threw 4 TD passes, three of which found Gronkowski. They might not have so easy against a Bills side that figures to be one of the stoutest defences, but they should find a way. Can you really bet against the defending champions in week 2 of the NFL betting season in a pivotal divisional clash?
NFL Picks: Patriots -120 at Bet365

Chargers +150 vs. Bengals -170
Of all the matchups, this one has to be one of the toughest to call as both the San Diego Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals emerge winners in week 1 NFL betting. Chargers faced off against a tougher Lions side, making their come-from-behind win impressive. Bengals had a winnable game against the Raiders and they came through as they often do against so-called lesser opponents. Bengals are typically a good bet at home, particularly when it’s an early start. But Philip Rivers and the Chargers figure to be a tough nut to crack by all accounts and Andy Dalton’s record against better teams isn’t exactly encouraging. As such, we’re going for the upset by the Chargers on our NFL picks.
NFL Picks: Chargers +150 at BetOnline

Niners +205 vs.Steelers -245
No Harbaugh. No Gore. No Fangio. No Davis. No Crabtree. No Willis. No Borland. No. J. Smith…. No problem. The Niners win in emphatic fashion in week 1 NFL betting, giving Jim Tomsula his second career win as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, improving to a perfect 2-0 SU record. The Niners have to be rather pleased right now, particularly seeing as all and sundry were writing their obituary in the NFC West prematurely. Steelers have looked out of sorts since the preseason and if they don’t perk up soon, the defending AFC North champions could very well slip to an 0-2 SU start on the season.
NFL Picks: Niners +205 at Bet365

Rams -170 vs. Redskins +150
The St. Louis Rams impressed in week 1 NFL betting, coming from behind to tie the game with the Seattle Seahawks and send it into OT and win 34-31. Brimming with confidence, the Rams are fittingly the road faves at -175 NFL odds at the expense of the Redskins in the nation’s capital.
NFL Picks: Rams -170 at BetOnline

Bucs +390 vs. Saints -465
After week 1’s abysmal 42-14 loss to the Titans, nobody is buying what the Bucs are selling at all. The Saints are coming off a loss to the Cardinals, but they face a much easier prospect (one would assume) in the visiting Bucs. Of all the games in week 2, this one is the most lopsided on the NFL odds board, making it the least attractive NFL pick.
NFL Picks: Saints -465 at BetOnline

Titans +108 vs. Browns -128
Marcus Mariota’s debut couldn’t have gone better had he scripted it himself, throwing for 4 TD passes in a 42-14 win over the Bucs. He won’t have it so easy against the Browns on the road for the second straight week, but the impression he left has many NFL bettors excited about the Tennessee Titans overall. He could just pull it off and go 2-0 SU in his rookie season.
NFL Picks: Titans +108 at 5Dimes

Ravens -210 vs. Raiders +180
The Ravens are coming off a tough opener against the Denver Broncos, a game that cost them key injuries, the biggest of which was to Suggs (gone for the season). Overall, it was a rough opener and Joe Flacco and the O-line couldn’t get much going against a stout Denver defense. In week 2, they face lighter opposition in the Raiders –also coming off an opening loss to the Bengals. Derek Carr was injured in the game, but he expects to be back for week 2 – how effective he will be with a bruised arm remains to be seen. Ravens are 7-1 SU over Raiders.
NFL Picks: Ravens -210

Dolphins -250 vs. Jaguars +210
Miami Dolphins are faced with a second straight winnable game to start the season. After quashing the Washington Redskins in week 1 NFL betting in the nation’s capital, they take on the developing Jacksonville Jaguars, who are coming off a 20-9 loss to the Panthers. Headed in the right direction they might be, but Blake Bortles and the Jaguars have some ways to go before they can be taken seriously.
NFL Picks: Dolphins -250 at BetOnline

Cowboys +200 vs. Eagles -240
Cowboys’ were extremely lucky to win their opener against the Giants at home, while the Eagles were equally unlucky to lose their opener against the Falcons on the road. Still, there were lots of positives Chip Kelly can take from their opening loss, particularly a strong second half in which the Eagles outplayed the Falcons. Most likely, Sam Bradford’s nerves factored in the first half. This is a pivotal divisional clash with plenty angles for profit. Cowboys were 8-0 on the road last season, but they are now without Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray. Eagles have the home edge and, as such, we’re tickling them on our NFL picks to come through.
NFL Picks: Eagles -240 at Bet365

Seahawks +167 vs. Packers -192
Green Bay Packers are tough to beat at Lambeau Field. Last season, they went 8-0 SU en route to winning the NFC North title. They might have lost the last three meetings with the Seahawks, including the NFC Championship game, but all those were at CenturyLink Field. The Packers have a 5-0 SU record over the Seahawks at home. They extend that run of form with a win in week 2 NFL betting.
NFL Picks: Packers -192 at Bet365

Jets +250 vs. Colts -320
The NY Jets are coming off a convincing 31-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. With momentum behind a positive start they descend on the Indianapolis Colts still licking their wounds after a humiliating 27=14 loss to the Bills on the road in week 1 NFL betting. In fact, the Jets have to like their chances better now after seeing what the Bills did to the Colts. Last year Fitzpatrick and Texans gave Luck a run for their money and very nearly beat them. In NY, Fitzpatrick has more offensive weapons than he did in Houston. What’s more, the defense is no slouch either. Can the Jets hand Luck and the Colts a second straight loss on the season? Last year, the Colts opened with a 0-2 SU mark, marking the first back-to-back losses for Andrew Luck in the NFL. It’s a longshot NFL pick, but we’re backing the Jets at +240 to mastermind the upset in NFL betting markets.
NFL Picks: Jets +250 at 5Dimes
