Check out our comprehensive game-by-game analysis for week 9 of the NFL betting season, complete with NFL odds and OVER-UNDER picks.

Week 8 NFL Picks ATS Recap
It was a good week with all our NFL picks, from money line, ATS and totals. We we’re in the green with each and every category. In total betting, we went a solid 9-5 with our predictions, marking our third week of positive results in a row. Overall, we’re 58-60-1 on the season for our OVER-UNDER NFL picks. (See Table 1)

Browns vs. Bengals
The Browns have the league’s best OVER record ahead of week 9 NFL betting, going 7-1-0 through 8 games. In fact, only a fortnight ago did a Cleveland game cash on the UNDER when they lost24-6 to the Rams. The Bengals also have a strong OVER record that stands at 5-2 through seven games played. Last week’s 16-10 win to the Steelers was their lowest scoring game of the season. In three games they cracked 30-points scored and the remaining three saw them score between 24-30 points. By these stats, we like the OVER on our NFL picks.

Packers vs. Panthers
Offense was synonymous with the Packers last season as they put up formidable numbers. This season they’ve tapered it down somewhat and emerge with a 2-5 OVER record through seven games. The Panthers, by contrast, are 4-2-1 in O/U betting and averaging 27.3-points per game scored, which is higher than the Packers’ average of 24.86 points scored per game. Last week, the Packers offense was stifled badly by the Broncos’ defense. The Panthers defense is nothing to sniff at and could give Rodgers some fits. However, we’re expecting Rodgers to come out with a much better performance this week and bounce back in a big way all while the Panthers give him a run for his money.

NFL Picks: OVER 45.5

Jaguars vs. Jets
The Jaguars are 5-2 in OVER-UNDER betting this season all while averaging 21-points scored and conceding 29.6 points. The Jets meanwhile have outscored opponents 172-to-139 for an average of 24.6-points scored and just 19.9-points conceded. Word is Fitzpatrick is set to start this game despite suffering an injury to his non-throwing arm. The Jets are coming off an abysmal loss to the Raiders on the road and will be keen to bounce back here. It’s a low total trading on the NFL odds board for this game, but the public is heavy on the UNDER according to Vegas Insider. We’re of a mind to fade the public and shade the OVER here.

NFL Picks: OVER 42 at Bet365

Dolphins vs. Bills
The Dolphins are 4-3 in O/U betting this season and averaging 22 points scored and 24.7 points conceded. Since Dan Campbell took over the reins, they are averaging 29.7 points scored and conceding 24-points per game –albeit that is largely skewed both ways by the 36-7 loss to the Patriots last week. The Bills, meanwhile, are also 4-3 in O/U betting this season, but have fallen off on the scoreboard since Tyrod Taylor was side lined. Good new he’s back and is reportedly starting against the Bills. The last meeting was a show-stopping 41-14 win by the Bills in London that lost Philbin the head coaching job. This game has all the markings of a grudge match, which could go either way. We’re leaning towards the UNDER on our NFL picks.

NFL Picks: UNDER 44 at 5Dimes

Raiders vs. Steelers
Big Ben had a poor showing in his first game off of injury, losing 16-10 to the Bengals. He’s sure to be keen to get the offense going against a Raiders team that is lighting up the scoreboard in recent weeks. The Steelers have outscored opponents 168-to-147 this season, for an average of 24-points scored and 21 points conceded. The Raiders have Raiders nation all in a tizzy behind a 4-3 SU and second place in the AFC West. Few would have believed the Raiders would compete so well. They are averaging 25.4-points per game and conceding 24.7-points per game.

NFL Picks: OVER 47.5

Rams vs. Vikings
The Rams and Vikings collide in a game that is trading on one of the lowest totals of the week’s round of NFL betting. Both sides are consistent UNDER producers with the Rams boasting a 2-5 O/U record and the Vikings a 1-6 O/U record. That said with the pair boasting two of the best running backs in the league right now Adrian Peterson and Todd Gurley, this game could buck the UNDER trend.

NFL Picks: OVER 39.5 at Heritage

Titans vs. Saints
The Saints and Titans collide in week 9 NFL betting at the Superdome, all while the Titans are reeling from Whisenhunt’s departure. Since week 1’s 42-14 win over the Bucs, the Titans offense has struggled to put up points. If we we’re to take away the 42 points scored at the expense of the Bucs from the 125 points scored this season we are left with 83 points scored over 6 games, which yields a subpar 13.8 point average. Crickey. That’s hardly acceptable. The Saints meanwhile finally look to have an identity on offense and are riding a three-game winning streak, which includes an incredible 36.67 points scored per game. We have no doubt the Saints will light up the board, but the Titans could struggle to keep up. As such, we’re leaning towards the UNDER on our NFL picks.

NFL Picks: UNDER 48

Redskins vs. Patriots
The Patriots welcome the Redskins at Gillette Stadium, for a clash that is served up on one of the highest totals on the NFL odds board this week. The Patriots are 4-3 in O/U betting and averaging 35.57 points scored per game all while conceding just 19 points. The Redskins, meanwhile, are 3-4 in O/U betting with an average of 21.1-points per game and conceding 24 points per game. Undoubtedly, the Patriots will put up the points in this game as they’ve been wont to do on the season, the question is whether the Redskins can match them score for score. Don’t think so.

NFL Picks: UNDER 52 at Pinnacle

Falcons vs. Niners
The Falcons descend on San Francisco in week 9 NFL betting, sure to heap more misery on Jim Tomsula and his hapless Niners. Surprisingly, it’s a rather high total that is trading on this game, creeping up on 45 points. When the Falcons boast only a 2-5-1 OVER record, conspicuously underscored by a run of four straight UNDERs. The Falcons have averaged 26.6 points per game on the season, but recent weeks has seen that average come down to 17.5 points per game. Another thing to consider is that we have no idea what the Niners offense is going to look like now that Blaine Gabbert is set to start.

NFL Picks: UNDER 44.5

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837118, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,19,93,92,238,349], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Giants vs. Buccaneers
The Giants lost a crazy shootout in New Orleans 52-49, marking one of the highest combined scores in recent memory. The Bucs, meanwhile, are coming off an inspired 23-20 win over the Falcons, which highlights some of their improved play over the last few weeks. They are averaging 30.3 points scored over the last three weeks. This could prove to be another shootout between Eli Manning and Jameis Winston, if the Giants defense has another horrible outing that is.

NFL Picks: OVER 48  at Bovada

Broncos vs. Colts
Defense has made the headlines in Denver and it’s sure to factor in this game against an ailing Andrew Luck. Overall, the Broncos are 2-5 in O/U betting this season, which is uncharacteristic of the Peyton Manning of season’s past but it’s the case this season. A new coach, new offense and, perhaps, even, being a year older factored. In any event, last week we saw glimpses of the Peyton Manning of old. We think we’re going to see more of him in this game, which is a bit of a homecoming for the former Colts starter. Andrew Luck and the Colts have started games slowly, but they’ve managed to put up the points late in the game or in garbage time. They are sure to relish this challenge after slipping to their third straight defeat in MNF.

NFL Picks: OVER 45

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837119, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,19,93,92,238,349], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Eagles vs. Cowboys
The Eagles and Cowboys renew hostilities in week 9 NFL betting. Their last meeting side lined Tony Romo for the better part of the season and sent the Cowboys into a tailspin that’s all but finished them off for the term. They are averaging just 19 points scored per game behind the inconsistent play of backup quarterbacks. The Eagles, meanwhile, have lost the offensive identity most expected them to have this season. They are just 1-6 in O/U betting this season.

NFL Picks: UNDER 44.5 at TheGreek

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837120, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,19,93,92,238,349], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Bears vs. Chargers
The Bears and Chargers collide in a game that is trading on a rather high total verging on 50-points at most sportsbooks. The Chargers are scoring 23.86-points per game 28.4-points while the Bears are scoring 20-points and conceding 28.86-points per game. On the offensive side of the ball, the Bears seem to be struggling with inconsistency and they are just 3-4 in O/U betting.  The Chargers are 4-4 in O/U betting. Both defenses rank bottom of the league. As such, this game could go either way on the total. For our money, we’re leaning towards the OVER.

NFL Picks: OVER 49
