Monday Night Football Clash: NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys & the Washington Redskins face each other. Review the NFL odds with us and find out our NFL pick for tonight.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins (-3-) 8:30 ET ESPN
The Dallas Cowboys travel to meet the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field for this 8:30 ET kickoff as televised by ESPN on Monday night. It is the first meeting of the year for these NFC East rivals. The Redskins own the series with a mark of 8-2 ATS, including 4-1 ATS recently on this field. But, the Cowboys have actually won 5 of their last 7 meetings on this field, straight up.

These teams reside in the NFC East where the 5-6 SU Redskins are the division leaders by 1 game in the loss column over Philly and NYG, and 2 games over the visiting Cowboys. A win by the Redskins tonight gives them the division lead on their own, while a win by the Cowboys muddles the mess even further. We will opt for the latter in what is clearly a very contrary selection

The Game
The Redskins have been like money in the bank on this field this season. For the year, they are 5-1 SU, winning by an average margin of 26-17. That includes 5 consecutive victories with covers in 4/5 of those games. Starting QB Cousins becomes more comfortable with each game. For the year on this field, he has an 11/2 ratio. Last week, the Redskins bolted to a (20-0) 4th quarter lead over the Giants, then held on for (20-14) victory over the Giants as our Lone Ranger Contrary play of the week. In that contest, the Redskins had a (+3) net TO margin along with dominant edges at the point of attack 105-33. It will be easy for most backers to follow the Redskins into battle tonight on their strong home field. But, before you take off the rubber band, note that the Skins are just 1-12 ATS in this price range vs. losing opponents.

A losing opponent is certainly what the 3-8 SU, 2-9 ATS Cowboys appear to be! That is especially true with QB Romo now out for the season.  In his absence, the Cowboys are 0-7 SU, 1-6 ATS. Dallas now has 12 days to regroup, after their Thanksgiving Day embarrassment on their home field to Carolina. In that game, the Panthers held a (+3) net TO margin, outrushed the Cowboys 129-31 and held Dallas to 210 total yards. At this short road price, the Cowboys will have few backers for this Monday Night Football Division Rivalry.

I invite you to join me for my MNF NFL pick on the Dallas Cowboys, as we put the NFL odds in our favor by fading the public once again.
