49ers vs. Seahawks O/U 4.5 TDs (Bet365)
This game has a very low total of 38 ½ points, however five touchdowns would still be under the total. At +110, I think the over has to be the play from this prop on bet365. A lot of people are underestimating the chances this game turns into an offensive affair. Seattle has scored 29 and 19 points respectfully against the Niners this season, and while the Niners haven’t been able to score very well, they are finally healthy on offense, which should increase their scoring output from matchups in the past.
These two teams are going to try and fail to run the football on one another, and when that happens, the passing game is what will make up for it. Both teams are susceptible to being beaten by the pass, and with the Niners on the road and healthy on offense, you have to expect more than four touchdowns to be scored.
My Pick: OVER 4.5 TDs (+110)
Will a Seahawks player kiss his bicep after scoring a touchdown? (Bovada)
This is probably the most epic prop of the weekend, and it has to be given its press. I can’t help but take the +300 on the yes in this one. These two teams hate each other, and since the Niners mocked Cam Newton twice last week, I think it will be only fair if the Hawks give Colin Kaepernick a taste of his own medicine.
It might only happen if the Hawks have a solid lead, so we might have to sweat it out all game. However especially if Kaepernick gets picked off, I think this prop has some value as crazy as it is.
My Pick: Yes (+300)
Player Performances (Bovada)
The game before the epic Niners and Seahawks showdown has some nice prop value as well, and I think I have found some with a Broncos WR. Wes Welker’s receiving yards total is only 62 ½ points, and I am itching for an over bet on this spread.
Even though the Broncos lost in New England this season, the tables will slightly turn now in Denver. Although I still expect Bill Belichick’s defense to play well, Peyton Manning will almost surely have more than 150 passing yards, and I think Welker will have a great game against his old team because of it.
Welker got nine targets in his return last week against the Chargers and before he was hurt with a concussion, he had 33 targets in his last four regular season games. He is getting the looks, he just has to come up with the football. However with Aquib Talib likely occupying either Demaryius Thomas or Eric Decker, I think Welker will be the main benefactor of these potential defensive schemes from the Pats.
My Pick: Wes Welker OVER 62 ½ RY (-115)
