Cincinnati Bengals season wins future odds update
Their season win total from LVH Sportsbook in Las Vegas is set at 8 ½ this season, with the over priced at +110, and the under coming in at -130. The Bengals are a solid team this season, so do they have what it takes to be a winning team in this division yet again?
The league was not that kind to the Bengals this season in regards to schedule. They rank 12th in the NFL in strength of schedule, and on top of it all they play in a very tough and well rounded division. We are going to get a nice taste of what the Bengals are made of early on this season. They open the season in Chicago, followed by home games against Pittsburgh and Green Bay in Weeks 2 and 3. After a trip to Cleveland in Week 4, they come back home to face the Patriots in Week 5. These are all tough games, but if they can at least go 2-3 SU in that stretch or better, I really like their chances of getting north of 8 ½ wins this season. On paper their schedule is tough, but after those first five games, it does ease up a bit. The toughest games they have after that stretch will most likely be their road division games.
The Bears are -3 favorites over the Bengals in the NFL Odds for Week 1. The total is set at 45 points from Chicago, but the spread has dropped a full point since it opened several months ago. Two out of every three bets this offseason are on the Bengals, but three points seems pretty solid between these two evenly matched teams. I wouldn’t be surprised if that number held all the way to kickoff in less than three months. These two teams haven’t played one another since 2009, and they have only played four times in 18 years. However in those four games, the Bengals were 3-1 ATS, with the under cashing in three out of the four as well.
The Sharp Pick
As I stated in the video, I like the over with this team a lot this season. I think the Bengals are in for a good season, and I expect nothing less than 9-7 for them this season. As long as they weather the early storm and can stay around .500, they have a stretch between Weeks 6 and 11 that is not bad. They have back-to-back trips to Miami and Baltimore during that stretch, but other than that it looks like they could rally off several wins against teams like the Bills, Lions, Jets and Browns. The Bengals defense is going to be superb this season, and after a good draft on offense, they have some complementary pieces around Andy Dalton and AJ Green. I also like the Bengals to win this division.
My Pick: OVER 8 ½ +110 at Bet 365
Week 1 Lean: UNDER 45
