The 49ers head into Pittsburgh Monday Night to try and start off the season 2-0 against the steelers.  We have our free NFL picks here for you based on our live odds.

Opening Odds & Line Movement
The NFL odds have dropped from an opening of -6.5 for the Steelers at home to -5, which is a healthy move as the 49ers were extremely impressive on Monday night, even though it was against a subpar Minnesota offense and remember, Adrian Peterson still has a lot of rust to run off as he returns to the league. The Steelers played the Patriots closely and they did more than hold their own in New England, but Tom Brady carved them up and Colin Kaepernick might be able to take advantage of the passing defense; that being said, with all due respect to Vernon Davis, he isn't Rob Gronkowski.

For the 49ers, Reggie Bush has a calf injury that needs monitoring, but after Carlos Hyde gashed the Vikings for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns (including a highlight-reel spin move), that probably isn't even a big deal. Other than that, the 49ers are relatively healthy after their Monday night opener and that is a win in itself.

The Steelers are still missing the suspended Le'Veon Bell (returning in Week 3) and Martavius Bryant (Week 5), which means that Antonio Brown will continue to get a ton of attention after putting up 133 yards and a touchdown on nine catches against the Patriots. Maurkice Pouncey isn't coming back for a while because of his ankle and now Will Allen might miss this game due to a concussion after leading the Steelers in tackles against New England. The Steelers definitely aren't playing with a full deck right now and that might also have something to do with the line moves so far.

The Steelers are 2-3 SU and ATS in their last five meetings with San Francisco, who has managed to cover in just one of their last seven games overall. However, the 49ers are 12-6 SU in their 18 games on the road. This could be a low-scoring game when you consider that San Francisco has gone under in seven of their last eight, while Pittsburgh has done the same in four of their last five. Keep that in mind for your NFL picks.

The Steelers are 11-4 SU in their last 15 at Heinz Field, and 12-2 SU in their last 14 home openers. They're 2-2 ATS against the 49ers at home, but those four games came in 1987, 1993, 1996 and 2007.

NFL Picks: Steelers -5.5 (-110) at The Greek
