We cover the Monday Night Football prop betting options, and help you decide which ones are worth backing with your NFL picks. Let us help you close out Week 2 on top of the odds makers.

We had another solid weekend of NFL betting, and Monday brings about the conclusion of Week 2. The NFL Odds have the Bengals as -6 favorites against the Steelers this week, but I’ve already given my pick for this game. Instead of focusing on the spread or total, let’s take a look at some of Bet365’s prop bets on this evening. These may be much more valuable than any conventional bets.

Touchdown Scored

Even though Benjarvus Green-Ellis is listed as the starter and lead back in the Cincinnati backfield, the young rookie, Gio Bernard is by far the most talented tailback on their roster. Although he didn’t get a lot of run in Week 1 against the Bears, that’s a tough defense to begin with. Luckily for Bernard, Green-Ellis had 14 carries for a grand total of 25 yards, (1.8 yards per carry) and a touchdown. Bernard had only 4 carries, but he busted off 22 yards on those four carries, an average of well over five per carry.

The Steelers have a pretty tough running defense, but the chances of the Bengals being well ahead in this game are likely. The Bengals should be running the ball a lot in this game, and Bernard should get at least 10 touches, possibly some late redzone work as well. I don’t care when in the game it comes, but Bernard’s value is out of this world right now in the NFL Odds to score a TD. I don’t trust Green-Ellis, and neither do the Bengals. Bernard could break out in a blow out, and I think there’s a great chance he could find the endzone.

My Pick: Gio Bernard (+225)

Steelers’ team total

At 17 points, the Steelers’ team total may be a bit too high in this game, and I am focusing on the ‘Under’ which is priced relatively well at -110 compared to the over. Pittsburgh’s offensive line is awful and should be pummeled tonight by Cincinnati’s defensive line. They also can’t run the ball very well, and even though the Bengals’ don’t have an extremely deadly offense, they do have a good enough unit to take it to the Steelers in this one.

Last time these two faced on another in Cincinnati, the Steelers only mustered up 10 points in that game, and I can’t see them getting too many more than that in this game. I’m adding the 'Under' on the Steelers team total to my sports picks in this game.

My Pick: Steelers TT ‘Under’ 17 (-110)

Player performances

The Steelers are going to be playing from behind tonight, and with Antonio Brown likely getting most of the coverage from Cincinnati’s secondary, I have a feeling Emmanuel Sanders could be the one who benefits the most. It’s a complete toss up between these two tonight, as both have the same receiving yards total of 65.5.

However Sanders will be the guy who likely gets the yards in this one. Sanders had 57 yards on seven receptions in the Steelers loss to the Titans last week, and I expect they will have room for more of the same. Even though Brown had more yards in that contest, Sanders led the team in targets with 12, and I think 10 or more targets in this one should be a lock. Take the over and add it to your NFL Picks for Monday night.

My Pick: Emmanuel Sanders ‘Over’ 65.5 receiving yards (-125)
