Which teams are holding solid value right now, and why should you add them to your 2014 NFL futures picks?

We’ve already gone through some of the NFL teams I see as being overvalued in the offseason future odds, but what about those teams that look like a good bet? I have three teams below and I believe all three of them represent pretty good value right now. One of these teams could be the next Super Bowl champ, and they could be the perfect choice for you NFL picks.

Patriots 15/2

Although they aren’t the favorite anymore, how can you not like a multiple time champion that looks like they’re reloading nicely? The Patriots had some good money to spend this season, and even though they lost Wes Welker, I feel Danny Amendola won’t be a downgrade as long as he is healthy.

They have been spending money on their defense, which is going to be much improved from the yard hemorrhaging squad from last season. They have done a lot to improve their secondary and any team with Tom Brady is going to have a shot at a title.

Falcons 14 /1

I get it. How can I possibly pick the Falcons as being good value, after I already got done bashing the Broncos and the Seahawks for their lack of playoff successes? The Falcons are the kings of choke, but I think one or two key moves they have made are going to make them a good bet this season to finally win it all.

They brought in Steven Jackson to run the ball alongside Jaquizz Rodgers this upcoming season, in what might be the most dangerous 1-2 punch in the NFL. Now that they have a running game that is respectable, their passing game is going to open up even more. Both RBs can catch a pass well, and along with them, the newly resigned Tony Gonzalez and others are going to propel the Falcons to the top of the NFC.

49ers 13/2

The San Francisco 49ers have now become the slight odds favorite to win it all next season. Even though they lost their Pro Bowl safety Dashon Goldson, they have been making some pretty good signings over free agency. Also lest we forget, they have a TON of draft picks at their disposal.

It might take some time, as they have basically a brand new secondary and they still need some offensive playmakers. However, they have five picks in the first three rounds of the draft, and I expect three of those five to be used in offensive players.

Find out who we believe are the most overvalued NFL team next season.
