We’re going to take a very early look at Sunday’s NFL contest between Arizona and Pittsburgh. Go inside to read this insightful betting preview article that includes an NFL pick.

Arizona visits “The Steel City”
The Steelers (3-2) and Cardinals (4-1) will square off on Sunday in a non-conference battle. The opening kickoff at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh is slated for 1:00 PM ET. Early (10/13) NFL odds show Arizona as a 3-point favorite and a posted total of 44. These teams haven’t met since 2011, and the time before that came in the 2009 Super Bowl won by Pittsburgh 27-23.

Stellar Start for Cardinals
Arizona is coming off a 42-17 shellacking of the Lions last Sunday at Ford Field in Detroit. It marked the third time already this season that Arizona had cracked the 40 point barrier. Although their offense has certainly been very good, they’ve found numerous ways to generate points. During their win at Detroit, they forced 6 turnovers resulting in numerous easy scoring chances. In their four previous games, they scored 3 touchdowns on interception returns, another via a kickoff return, and also added a defensive safety. The Arizona Cardinals have averaged 38.0 points per game through five contests. Arizona has gone over the total in all five games this season.

Huge Monday Night Win
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a thrilling 24-20 come from behind win at San Diego on Monday night. A 1-yard touchdown run by Le’Veon Bell with no time remaining provided the winning margin. After being relatively ineffective for 3.5 quarters, Michael Vick came alive during each of Pittsburgh’s final two scoring drives. On the first offensive play by Pittsburgh after San Diego had vaulted to a 17-10 lead, Vick tossed a 72 yard touchdown pass to Marcus Wheaton that tied the score. The Chargers kicked a 54 yard field goal on their ensuing drive to take a 20-17 lead with 2:54 to play. Vick once again drove his team down the field for the winning score by using both his legs and arm. One of the key plays on the winning drive was a 24 yard run by Vick with less than 30 seconds to play. The Steelers have stayed under the total in four of five games this year, and that includes each of the previous three.

NFL Perfect Betting Angle
Any non-division away favorite of 7.5 or less, coming off an away SU&ATS win in which they scored 40 points or more, resulted in that away favorite going a perfect 13-0 SU&ATS since 1984. This is a very small sample size, and rare situation, but extremely profitable nonetheless. I’m going to side with the road favorite as one of my NFL picks this week.
