After a sizzling preseason Swinging Johnson went 3-0 last week in his weekly NFL picks column and is looking to repeat himself in Week 2, so let's see what he's got.

Swinger's 2016 NFL Record 6-1-0 (4.90 units)

I hear what you're saying. How can I be 6-1 in my NFL picks if I went 3-0 last week here in my weekly column? The reason is that in addition to my personal plays that I deliver here each week (which are replicated in my weekly podcast with Jordan Sharp for those that can't read), I am also tasked with writing on individual games aside from my personal picks. If it so happens that one of those games is coincidentally one of my personal picks then I count it as one loss or one win and not two, as it is the same freakin' game. You dig?

Now that we have that out of the way, I was as giddy as a girl in pigtails after my sensational Week 1. I know you're still ruminating over the "girl in pigtails remark" and to be truthful I almost avoided that line but hey, we're friends, right? Alright so to summarize, I had the Bucs +3 over the Falcons, Chargers +7 ½ (-140) over the Chiefs and the Vikings -1 (-125) over the Titans for a perfect 3-0 Week 1 Swinger's Picks. In separate articles, I had the Lions +3 ½ (-105) over the Colts, the Patriots +6 ½ over the Cardinals and Under 47 in that same game. My only loss was picking the Rams over the 49'ers and that one lost big.

So here we are, 6-1 on the season and buckle up because I've got three more below. If you want to check up on what else I have this week, just click my name and all my articles will appear. Good luck and let's get this.

Dolphins vs. Patriots
The Dolphins nearly cost everyone and his mother their suicide pool pick in the opening week of the season. You had Seattle as an easy lock just like I did and I was sweating it right down to the wire along with you when the Seahawks finally broke through in the fourth quarter to take a hard fought 12-10 victory over the Fish. You had to love the way Miami hung tough and their defense looked stout, limiting Russell Wilson to 258 yards on 43 passing attempts, sacking him on three occasions, picking off one and holding him to one TD.

Fast forward to this week and Ndamukong Suh, Cameron Wake and Mario Williams will make life miserable for the Patriots' patchwork offensive line. Sweet Jimmy G will be calling Tom Brady between series and asking if he ever cried on the field and if so, what to do? However, the same can be said for a tremendously underrated Patriots defense and the things they will do to Miami QB Ryan Tannehill will test the boundaries of decency I tell you. All in all this should be a winning day for both defenses and therefore we will take advantage of that hook that the NFL odds makers are putting on the end of the 42 and go low in this one.

NFL Pick: Under 42 ½

Ravens vs. Browns
Cleveland has become a natural fade for the betting public regardless who they're playing and the fact that Bovada is giving us a touchdown head start says all you need to know about the kneejerk reaction of the betting public. The squares, metaphorically represented by Joe. Q. Public, ask rhetorically and in unison, "Cleveland sucks, right? Bet the other side man!" Well guess what? The Ravens' offense didn't exactly remind anyone of the '07 Patriots or the '13 Broncos in Week 1 as they meandered their way past the Bills 13-7, at home no less.

RG3 is done for now - maybe for good - and Josh McCown is now calling the shots. The Brownies lost 29-10 to a kid (Carson Wentz) from Philly last week but they made a bundle of mistakes that would be hard to duplicate this week. The Browns come home to Cleveland for their home debut and they're hardly facing an offensive powerhouse. They'll keep this one close against a divisional rival that they split with last season.

NFL Pick:   Browns +7 (-115)
Best Line Offered: at Bovada

Colts vs. Broncos
This could very well be the proverbial trap game for Denver after their heady win over the Panthers (again) and looking ahead to a dangerous Bengals team in the Queen City next week. But they better realize that Andrew Luck is back and in a big way. The Colts’ quarterback enjoyed a sparkling 387 yards passing and four TD strikes in the team's 39-35 loss to the Lions.

Indianapolis still has miles to go defensively but they face a Broncos edition known for elite defense not Manningesque offense. The Broncos may win this game solely on exploiting the holes in the Indianapolis defense but even then I don't see this team scoring in bunches. Give me a healthy Andrew Luck plus seven and I'll take all day long.

NFL Pick: Colts +7 (-130)
Best Line Offered: at 5Dimes.
