We are thankful for a bounty of satisfying prop bets on Thanksgiving Day's three NFL games. We've passed on the ones that smell like brussel sprouts and are saving room for leftovers on ones that will pay.

Chicago (7-3 SU, 7-3 ATS) at Detroit (4-6 SU, 6-4 ATS)

Thursday,12:30 p.m. ET (CBS)

The staples of any Thanksgiving are the Macy's Parade, the family dinner, the unbuttoning of the pants after the gluttony and settling into the recliner for the Chicago Bears-Detroit Lions game.

This one should be a tasty dessert, with the Bears on a four-game winning streak and Detroit starving to comeback from a loss to this same team two weeks ago.

But before we get to the feast of prop bets, we've gone into our wayback machine to 1980 to bring you a savory moment from this longtime holiday rivalry:

[/]{"component":"video", "type":"youtube", "url":"", "videoSize":"Large" }[/]

Bears vs. Lions - Will Either Team Score in the First 6 1/2 Minutes of the Game

Though we expect Detroit to be very aggressive, the Chicago defense is tough and each team will struggle to move the ball early.

Free NFL Pick: NO (-115)

Bears - 1st Half Total Points O/U 12.5

Lions - 1st Half Total Points O/U 9.5

Once somebody cracks the ice, watch for the points to flow. That is why we are looking at OVER's on both teams for the first half. Chicago just comes up with ways to manufacture points no matter how the offense is playing and Detroit is 22-7 OVER the 1st half total versus defenses allowing 90 or fewer rushing yards a game in the second half.

Bears vs. Lions - First Score of the Game

While the defenses will control a good chunk of the action, both play-callers will change it up seeing this is a rematch that just happened 11 days ago. Expecting the game to play out the same is foolish.

Free NFL Pick: Take the touchdown at -150.

Bears vs. Lions - Longest Touchdown of the Game

Again, because of how aggressive we expect both coaches to be -- and smart coaches like to change it up during a short week to focus on the game plan and not how tired they might be -- we have no problem getting behind the OVER 41.5.

Washington (6-4 SU, 7-3 ATS) at Dallas (5-5 SU, 4-5-1 ATS)

Thursday, 4:30 p.m. ET (FOX)

All eyes will be on QB Colt McCoy as the Redskins regroup following a brutal injury to quarterback Alex Smith. When this Cowboys-Redskins gridiron battle is done, there may be a new team atop the NFC East.

Redskins vs. Cowboys - Will Either Team Score in the First 7 Minutes of the Game

We are anticipating is two conservative coaches. Washington does not want to expose Colt McCoy to risky situations and Dallas understands this is a winnable contest and does not want to make any early mistakes.

Free NFL Pick: Let's snag NO at -110

Redskins vs. Cowboys - First Score of the Game

In keeping with the theme of this encounter, neither team will do anything to jeopardize scoring chances and if they are within field goal range on third and long they will make certain to at least have the attempt and reduce their risk.

Free NFL Pick: Take Other at a surprising +110.

Redskins - Total Points O/U 16.5

Dallas only allows 19 PPG on the season and to think they can hold McCoy, a battered offensive line and limited Washington playmakers to just three points less their average is not a stretch. Unless McCoy has a Clint Longley Thanksgiving game, this time against the Cowboys, the UNDER is the play.

[/]{"component":"video", "type":"youtube", "url":"", "videoSize":"Large" }[/]

Cowboys - Total Points O/U 24.5

Dallas will have troubles early moving the ball as the Redskins are motivated. But as the game wears on, the Cowboys run game will wear down the 'Skins defensive front which will help Dak Prescott in play-action passing and Dallas totals 27 points.

Free NFL Pick: The OVER will be the correct call.

Atlanta (4-6 SU, 3-7 ATS) at New Orleans (9-1 SU, 8-2 ATS)

Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC)

That turkey on your dinner table likely won't be the only cooked bird on Thursday as the New Orleans Saints take on the struggling Atlanta Falcons. Look for Drew Brees to pluck the feathers off this one early.

Falcons vs. Saints - Team to Score First

Gee, let me think about this one, hmmm, maybe New Orleans! Unfortunately, this prop was just like the turkey, stuffed, costing -210 to win $100. But like the bird, it will be worth it.

Falcons vs. Saints - First Score of the Game

We have more hefty NFL odds to back a touchdown at -215, that is why the Zelle Pay account comes in handy. Book it.

Falcons vs. Saints - Will Either Team Score in the First 5 1/2 Minutes of the Game

Have you seen either of these teams play against the pass?

Free NFL Pick: A resounding YES at -115.

Falcons vs. Saints - Longest Touchdown of the Game

The number is a rather large 55.5 for this prop. Can we double our money if we choose TWO for betting purposes? Hey, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Saints - 1st Half Total Points O/U 18.5

Sean Payton comes out very aggressive against a shaky Atlanta defense and puts up three touchdowns and more even more points in the first half. Here is another fast fact to consider for the OVER. New Orleans is s 16-5 OVER the 1st half total at home after a game with a turnover margin of +3 or better.

Enjoy the games, the food and each other on Thanksgiving.
