It’s hard to believe that we are already through a quarter of the NFL season. However, with that comes a flurry of injuries to several players of critical importance to their team. It could move the NFL Odds significantly as we move throughout the week, so follow along as I run down the biggest injuries at each position.

Cam Newton is the biggest injury on the books for this week, but luckily for him, the Panthers don’t play until Monday night, so his odds of missing a game go down some. He is in the concussion protocol.

Carson Palmer has the opposite problem, because even though he also sustained a concussion in Week 4, his team has to play on Thursday, which is two days away. Bruce Arians seem optimistic that he will play, but that’s tough to do only four days removed from a concussion.

Trevor Siemian is also banged up heading into this week and with the way he has been playing so far this season, it definitely causes for concern for the Broncos. He injured his non-throwing shoulder, but if he can’t plat Sunday, rookie Paxton Lynch will be under center.

There were a few key injuries to skill players this past week, but defenders took the biggest hit in Week 4. Gerald McCoy went down for the Bucs with a calf injury during their Week 4 game and there has been no word on his status for Monday night.

NaVorro Bowman has been a huge part of this Niners defense and he suffered a scary injury to his leg in Sunday’s game, that didn’t have any contact.

The Redskins were already down several key members of their secondary in Week 4 and they lost one of their best pass rushers in Ryan Kerrigan in Week 4’s game. He suffered an elbow injury, but the MRI came back clean, so keep an eye on his status heading into practice this week. The Redskins lost a couple more members of their secondary as well in Week 4, so this team is going to potentially be very vulnerable to all their secondary injuries.

Speaking of secondary injuries, another big one for the Cardinals is Tyvon Branch. Branch had to leave early on Sunday thanks to his groin injury flaring up, so he seems to be in danger of missing Week 5 on the short week.

Finally, Antonio Cromartie went down with a shoulder issue after getting burned by the Jaguars all throughout the first half of their game in London in Week 4. His loss for the Colts may not be huge, but for a defense without a lot of depth, it could have an affect on their Week 5 NFL Odds.
