With player prop bets growing in popularity in the last few years, bettors continue to find creative ways to maintain an edge. Specifically, yardage totals, receptions, and even touchdowns can be predicted with some degree of certainty. We’re light on specific Week 7 props this week but have some good values to jump on for our NFL picks.
Team to Sign Antonio Brown
One of the major storylines to come out this week was that teams are interested in signing former Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots receiver Antonio Brown. The Hall-of-Fame talent hasn’t played since last year due to gross sexual assault claims, Twitter rants, and overall concerning behavior. But talent wins and Brown’s close to coming off his eight-game suspension.
The Seattle Seahawks are easily the favorite to sign Brown and it makes too much sense. They have a strong locker room, and adding such a talent to the league’s top offense would make them on the same firepower level or better than even the Kansas City Chiefs. The Seahawks might become the favorite to win the Super Bowl.
Brown can play in the slot with Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf around him or move outside if need be. He’s a tireless worker and the Seahawks’ leadership should be able to keep him stable. The Patriots were happy to have him until the sexual harassment issues popped up.
The other teams in the mix also make sense but there’s a reason the Seahawks have been specifically mentioned. They want to leak the news now and get the public relations hit early for if the signing happens. As much as the Ravens or Packers could use him more, those teams are less aggressive acquiring players with this type of background.
I’m hitting this line hard because I’ve heard it’s much more likely than not to happen. Take advantage while you can.
Will Cowboys Trail by at Least 10 Points in Week 7
Mike Nolan‘s defense is downright embarrassing this season. Sure, the secondary is young and Everson Griffen looks like burnt toast at his age, but there’s still enough raw talent for this unit to not be better than last in scoring. Yet they rank 27th in total yards and can’t stop anyone or force turnovers.
That being said, facing Kyle Allen and the inept Washington offense is the cure. The Football Team has a defense good enough to keep this game tight and lower-scoring, Allen is bad and the offense around him isn’t good. And as good as a story Alex Smith is, he realistically has little to no upside on this team.
Washington should’ve stuck with Dwayne Haskins and hope he could overcome an awful situation. Alas, Washington will struggle to score because the big plays won’t be there, and there’s not enough talent there to sustain long drives. It’s not possible for Dallas to be that bad and trail by two scores this week.

Will Jets Get Shut Out Again This Season?
It’s actually shocking to see a solid positive return on this line. The Jets have the league’s worst coach, offense, and a bottom three defense. The chances they’ll be shutout in a season they could go winless for Trevor Lawrence, is much better than this line indicates.
The Jets’ schedule the rest of the way is brutal. Kansas City, New England twice, Miami, the Chargers and Rams all have capable defenses of blanking the Jets. This offense averages less than 13 points a game and was shutout against a decent Miami unit. It’s nonsensical we’re even getting value on this line.
It won’t likely happen this week, though. Buffalo has all the talent needed to trounce Adam Gase out of his job but haven’t put it all together yet. The Jets will be helped with Sam Darnold back but not significantly. He’s been a massive bust thus far and his supporting cast hasn’t been able to overcome the Gase element.
