In short, it’s an all-access pass to get you started betting on the thrilling showdown that will determine the conference champions that will advance to compete for the Lombardy Trophy in Miami, Florida, on February 7, 2021.

So, without too much preamble, let’s get cracking by setting the stage for the two scintillating matchups on tap representing the AFC and NFC Championship Finals.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Green Bay Packers

Sunday, January 24, 2021 – 12:05 PM ET at Lambeau Field

The Green Bay Packers booked their place in the NFC Championship game with a convincing 32-18 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers upset the New Orleans Saints 30-20 on the road on Sunday, marking the only significant upset of the Divisional Round as the Bucs came through as the +2.5 road underdogs across multiple sports betting sites.

Although the dust has barely settled on the Divisional Round following Tampa Bay’s win over New Orleans, bookmakers have gone to press with their early serving of NFL odds for the much anticipated showdown between the Bucs and Packers. A week after Tom Brady went head-to-head with Drew Brees, he’s set to go head-to-head with another future Hall of Fame quarterback in Aaron Rodgers.

Going into the season, the Green Bay Packers fell to the wayside in NFL futures speculation. Green Bay’s decision to move up in the 2020 NFL draft to pick Jordan Love took the shine off of the Packers. That's because the move was interpreted as a sign that the organization was selling out by investing in the future rather than the present. What their intentions were will forever remain a mystery, but the impact it had is evident. Aaron Rodgers responded with an MVP calibre season to lead the Packers to a second straight NFC Championship game in as many years with largely the same mix of talent.

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this is the first appearance in the NFC Championship game since their magical run to Super Bowl glory in 2002. The Bucs took the measure of Green Bay earlier this season in arguably one of their most convincing victories over a top-tier team this season. After the Packers stormed to a 10-0 lead early in the game, the Tampa Bay’s defense flipped the script on a dime to help the Buccaneers to a 38-10 victory. Aaron Rodgers finished the season with 48 TDs and 5 interceptions, two of which came against the Bucs, which marked his worst performance in 2020.

The Bucs finished with an 11-5-0 SU mark that included a four-game winning streak to close the regular season. Including the postseason, the Bucs are 13-5-0 SU and 10-8-0 ATS on the season, a run of form that includes an 8.6 winning margin on average. The total has gone OVER in 10 of their 18 games this season.

The Packers finished the regular season with a 13-3-0 SU mark that included a run of six straight wins down the stretch. Overall, the Packers are 14-3-0 SU and 11-6-0 ATS, a run of form that includes a 9.1 winning margin on average. The total has gone OVER in 10 of Green Bay’s 17 games this season.

At the face of it, it’s Tom Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers – a scintillating showdown between two of the game’s elite quarterbacks. The last round saw the matchup between Tom Brady and Drew Brees similarly talked up, but when it came down to it was a team effort led by Tampa Bay’s defense that did all the heavy lifting against the Saints.

It’s very possible the same will occur when these two sides collide for arguably the more fascinating of the two championship finals. By the NFL odds, the balance tips towards the Packers at early doors as most online sportsbooks tip the Packers as the -4 home chalk.

Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Sunday, January 24, 2021 - 3:40 PM ET at Arrowhead Stadium

The Buffalo Bills advanced into the AFC Championship game on Saturday after beating the Baltimore Ravens 17-3. The Kansas City Chiefs secured their spot opposite the Buffalo Bills following a 22-17 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. With the AFC matchup set, bookmakers have gone to press with the Chiefs as the home faves, but whether the NFL lines holds remains to be seen. The overriding determining factor rests with the status of Patrick Mahomes, who left Sunday’s contest in the third quarter with a concussion. It’s yet uncertain whether he will be cleared to suit up for Kansas City’s pivotal showdown with Buffalo in the AFC Championship finals, a fact that is likely to impact the betting significantly.

The Bills played host to the Chiefs in week 6 of this season but ultimately succumbed to a 26-17 loss. The Bills enjoyed some success defending the passing game, limiting Mahomes to some extent – he went 21 of 28 for 225 yards and 2 TDs. The Chiefs were able to get some traction with the running game, trotting up 245 yards rushing and one score on 46 attempts. The Bills finished the regular season 16th overall against the rush (114.9 yards per game), but first overall against the pass with 179.2 yards per game allowed. They were 18th overall in points allowed at 23.4 points per game.

After the loss to Kanas City, Buffalo only lost one other game in the regular season – four weeks later, on a fluke Hail Mary pass by Kyler Murray in 32-30 loss in Arizona. Since that week 10 loss, the Bills went on to reel off six straight wins to close the season with a 13-3-0 SU and an 11-5-0 ATS mark, as well they clinched the AFC East title. In the postseason, the Bills are 2-0 SU and 1-1-0 ATS with wins over the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens. Overall, the Bills are 12-6-0 ATS on the season, a run of form that includes a 7.9 winning margin on average.

The Kansas City Chiefs finished the season in fine form, behind a 14-2 SU mark that saw them clinch both the AFC West title and the No.1 seed in the AFC. In week 17 of the season, Andy Reid rested most of his starters, a decision that resulted in a 38-21 loss to the LA Chargers, marking the lone blemish in an otherwise stellar run that began in week 6 on the back of the win over Buffalo and encompassed a 10-game winning streak before the final week of the season.

In their first post-season game, the Chiefs burst out of the gates with the confidence of a defending champion intent on repeating as champions. However, it was quickly evident that the Cleveland Browns weren’t going to rollover. It proved to be hard fought contest that belied the NFL odds – the Chiefs closed as massive faves, anywhere between -8 and -9 depending on the choice top-rated sportsbook. Things got dicey towards the end when Mahomes left the game due to a concussion, but backup Chad Henne stepped in and did remarkably well to keep Kansas City in contention.

The Buffalo Bills are making their first appearance in an AFC Championship game since 1993, The Chiefs, meanwhile, are set to host the pivotal conference showdown for the third straight season. In 2018, the Chiefs valiant efforts ended with a loss to the New England Patriots in overtime. In 2019, the Chiefs defeated the Tennessee Titans and went on to beat the San Francisco 49ers in a come-from-behind win.

Overall, the Kanas City Chiefs finished the season with a 14-2 SU mark. They improved to a 15-2 SU mark following Sunday’s win over the Cleveland Browns. However, the Chiefs are merely 7-10-0 ATS on the season, a run of form that includes a 6.8 winning margin on average.
