College Football Bowl Line Shifts

201 Arizona/202 New Mexico:
Sharp money came in yesterday evening on New Mexico. In this latest round from the wiseguys. They took +10, some others are taking less. I don’t see any more +10 around. In fact the Westgate is down to Arizona -8.

203 BYU/204 Utah:
Interesting to watch the money in Las Vegas as these two teams play this season’s version of the Holy War in Sin City. (I stole that from someone on ESPN, and I would love to give them credit for it, but I forget who said it. If they let me know, I’ll correct it.) Anyway, here are two groups with a large Mormon following. I know from years of having a sportsbook on the Utah border in Wendover, Nevada that Mormon doctrine might be anti-gambling but Mormon people are most certainly not. Especially when it comes to betting on their own teams. In Las Vegas, I’ve seen this game dip as low as Utah -1.5 and back up to -2.5. However, outside of Las Vegas I haven’t seen much of a move one way or another. If you see movement at Las Vegas books and nothing off shore, it would most likely be just the fans of these schools placing their wagers. And by the way, in case you didn’t know, the Mormons as a group are a very productive class. They have a lot of money. They might not be great for liquor and coffee sales this week in Las Vegas, but everything else will prosper.

207 San Jose State/208 Georgia State:
Solid backing for Georgia State continues. All the Ga State +3 at -110 is gone. You can still take +3 laying as little as -115, but that is drying up and my guess is it will be gone unless a big outfit comes in on San Jose. I am seeing as low as San Jose -2 in a few spots.

239 Central Michigan/240 Minnesota:
Sharp money showed on Minnesota, laying anything under -6. Minny -5.5 is virtually gone now. I’m even seeing a few Minny -6.5 starting to pop up.

NFL Line Shifts to be Aware of

301 Buccaneers/302 Rams:
Sharp money is coming on the Rams. They go from -1 and -1.5 yesterday up to -2 and -2.5 today. The public is on the Buccs

327 Broncos/328 Steelers:
The public is heavily backing the Steelers in this one. It had already moved from -5.5 to -6, now plenty of -6.5 is starting to show. So far no wiseguy money has come in to combat it. It looks like Brock Osweiler will start again for the Broncos at QB.
