The Patriots opened up as field-goal favorites on the road and that is where the NFL odds stay for now. New England pounded Tennessee 33-16 with relative ease and that put them a game ahead of Cincinnati in the AFC, and two ahead of Denver. That means homefield advantage throughout the playoffs and there aren't many tougher places to play in January than New England. The Jets have now won four in a row after a 19-16 win in Dallas last Saturday and it wasn't pretty, but it kept New York in the hunt for the postseason. At 9-5, the Jets are tied with Kansas City and Pittsburgh, but they're the low team on that pole, so they still need a little help. These AFC East rivals first met in Week 7 as the Patriots scored 14 in the fourth quarter for a 30-23 win, powered by QB Tom Brady and TE Rob Gronkowski. That duo combined for 11 catches, 108 yards and a touchdown, and you can bet that the Jets will do everything they can to not let that happen again. Keep an eye on RB Steven Jackson, whom the Patriots signed earlier this week.

New England is awaiting word over WR Danny Amendola, who has been trying to play through a knee injury. The Patriots might keep him out this week and possibly next week to get him ready for the playoffs. There are also whispers that WR Julian Edelman is ready to come back from a foot injury, if not this week, next week.

LB David Harris didn't practice on Tuesday for the Jets because of his back, but he is probable to play on Sunday. The same can't be said for TE Kellen Davis, who also has a bad back and is very questionable for the weekend.

The Patriots are 7-4-3 ATS this season, going 3-3 ATS on the road, while the Jets are 7-5-2 ATS and 4-3 ATS at home. The total comes in at 45.5, and the Patriots have gone over eight times; the Jets, seven times.

New England has dominated this matchup, going 8-2 SU and 3-6-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings with the Jets. New York is 3-7 SU and 4-6 ATS in their last 10 at home with New England.
