St. Louis Rams vs. Houston Texans

Things couldn't have really gone much worse for the Texans over the last three weeks.

After starting the season with two straight wins, they've gone on to lose to Baltimore, Seattle, and San Francisco by a combined score of 87-32.

Matt Schaub's been getting a lot of flak and there's a good reason for that. He's been making far too many mistakes and Houston's been put in a lot of bad positions as a result.

It's been a month to forget, but we do believe this situation sets up nicely for the Texans. They're going to come out with even more focus and motivation and they get to play a St. Louis team that hasn't exactly been playing their best football.

The Rams beat Jacksonville last week, but gave up 20 points to that hapless offense. And, in the three weeks prior, they lost to San Francisco, Dallas, and Atlanta, with two of those coming on the road. There's just not much St. Louis is doing well – they're ranked #27 in total offense and #22 in total defense heading into Week 6.

Meanwhile, Houston's sporting a losing record, but they're ranked in the top ten in both categories on the season, including a number one ranking in total defense.

Believe it or not, the Texans have yet to cover a spread in five games this season, but we think that all changes this weekend. We're on Houston win big at home in a nice bounce-back spot for our NFL picks.

NFL Pick: Bet the Houston Texans -7.5 on the spread at William Hill (or better, if you can find it!)

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers have yet to win a game this season, but maybe an extra week to work out some kinks and get Mike Glennon more comfortable will be exactly what was needed to finally get on the winning side.

The only bad loss for Tampa Bay came in Week 3 in New England. Other than that defeat, the Buccaneers have been right there with a chance to win each game – they lost by a combined six points to Arizona, New Orleans, and the New York Jets.

Glennon has been handed the reins of the offense and it's not like he doesn't have any weapons surrounding him. With Doug Martin and then Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams around him, the pieces are in place for Glennon to move the chains.

It may not be that tough for the Buccaneers anyway, as they come up against a Philadelphia defensive unit that's ranked #30 in total yards allowed.

The Eagles have won twice this season, but the victories came over extremely disappointing performers in Washington and the New York Giants, who between them have one win this season.

Nick Foles will start and quickly proved he has what it takes to run this up-tempo Chip Kelly offense. However, Tampa Bay actually ranks in the top half of the league in team defense, so perhaps they'll be able to stop the Eagles this weekend.

While you're always taking a leap by backing a rookie quarterback, the NFL odds show there is good value on the Buccaneers at home. They're getting points in a game we feel they could very easily win, so we'll be adding Tampa Bay to our sports picks for Week 6.
