How Did We Do?
We had a so-so week against the spread finishing with a 6-10-0 record, our lowest score of the preseason, admittedly. However, we more than made up for It with a solid 12-4-0 mark in over-under betting.

Preseason Takeaways
Despite losing Geno Smith to injury, the New York Jets finished top of the table in the AFC East with a 3-1 SU record, capping off their run with a convincing 24-18 win over the Eagles. The Patriots and Bills finished with a 2-2 SU record, both falling to losses in the last round to the Giants and Lions, respectively. The Miami Dolphins finished with a 1-3 SU record, compounded by a loss to the Bucs in the last round at home.

Super Bowl contenders Indianapolis Colts finished on a lacklustre note with a 1-3 SU record, while the New Orleans Saints and the St. Louis Rams went 0-4 SU in the preseason, prompting some measure of concern for their campaigns this season.

Traditional NFC West powerhouses Seattle, San Francisco and Arizona all finished with a 2-2 SU record, highlighted by wins in their last lap around the exhibition catwalk.

The standout performers in the preseason were the Kansas City Chiefs, who went a perfect 4-0 SU and remained the only undefeated team. Minnesota Vikings raised some eyebrows with a 4-1 SU record while the Carolina Panthers did showed intent behind a 3-1 SU record.

So that’s all she wrote in the preseason. The regular season is a whole different ball game and often what happens in the preseason isn’t an indication of what is to come in the next few weeks. Sometimes it is though. It’ll be interesting to see how each team fares compared to their preseason deposit. Let the NFL betting season begin.
