With Thanksgiving out of the way, we turn our attention to betting the NFL on Sunday with 13 games still on the docket. Besides side and totals wagering, we also have parlays to consider from SBR's best sportsbooks.
Last week we nailed our fourth parlay winner in the last five weeks, a nice two-teamer with Miami and Washington. When looking over the NFL odds at A+ rated 5 Dimes, this professional handicapper sees value on several levels of favorites, underdogs and side action.
Let's delve into these NFL picks!
2-Team Parlay -- Cardinals (+5) & Texans (+2)
Arizona is having a very disappointing season and has to win out to have a chance to return to the playoffs. While I'm all but certain that will not happen, the Cardinals can cover in Atlanta. Let's keep in mind the Falcons' defense ranks 16th against the rush and 31st against the pass. If the Cardinals' offensive line can perform any sort of blocking, Arizona will score and the Cards still have the No.1 total defense in yards allowed, which could limit the Dirty Birds' offense.
I was frankly flabbergasted to see Houston moved from -1 to a +2 point home underdog on NFL odds against San Diego. With the Chargers 4-6 on the season, can you really trust San Diego as a short favorite when it is 4-13 SU since last season in games decided by seven points or fewer? Add in the Texans have the superior defense and are now listed as home underdogs, despite being 5-0 SU there this year and 9-1 in the regular season since last year, and I like those NFL odds.
3-Team Parlay -- Raiders (-3) & Browns (+7) & Chiefs/Broncos 'Under' 39.5
Oakland has been a lousy home team for well over a decade, and I completely understand why the Raiders would fall from -4 to -3 at home. However, as we have see, this is a different Raiders squad, one that believes in itself, knows it can play with the lead or come from behind and close the deal. Basically, where Carolina, this week's opponent, was last year, not this season. Da Raiders!
It is a given Cleveland is absolutely awful. Still, the visiting NY Giants hardly dominate, winning their seven games by a measly average of 4.3 points a contest, and what do you surmise their attitude might be? Watch the Browns to hang around and who knows, maybe, just maybe, they shock the world.
Neither the Kansas City nr Denver offenses are getting much done. They will face two defenses that are in the Top 8 in fewest points allowed, all leading to what looks like a defensive struggle on Sunday night in the altitude.
4-Team Moneyline Parlay
When it comes to moneyline parlays, I like to reduce risk and find instances where the teams I am choosing for NFL picks only have to win the game and avoid the great equalizer from the oddsmakers: the spread. Here are the four teams I believe will outright on Sunday and Monday night: Patriots & Bills & Dolphins & Eagles.
If correct, a $100 bet currently should pay $227 and change, which is pretty nice payout.
