They haven't been themselves lately, but the Arizona Cardinals should be the most attractive public bet on the Week 10 NFL odds board – thanks to the San Francisco 49ers.

The Arizona Cardinals went into the history books last week. Thanks to the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series, the Cardinals are now the franchise with the longest championship drought among the top four North American pro sports leagues. They won the 1947 NFL championship as the Chicago Cardinals. Since then? Bupkes.

That could all change very soon. Arizona won at least 10 games in each of Bruce Arians' first three years as head coach, and while Cards (3-4-1 SU, 3-5 ATS) have a losing record going into the second half of the regular season, they're still one of the more popular NFL picks on the betting market. They should be even more popular this Sunday when they host the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad San Francisco 49ers. The Niners (1-7 SU and ATS) are 13-point road dogs on our NFL odds board as we go to press.

Why Pay More?
The sharps are already trying to take advantage. Our consensus reports at press time show a slim majority of early bettors on San Francisco, and unanimous consent at +650 on the Moneyline. In theory, it would be prudent to wait until closer to kick-off (4:25 p.m. ET, FOX) and try to buy the Niners at +14 or better, but at least some of the wiseguys are content to lock them in now; you can get San Fran at +14.5 (–130) if you're willing to pay the premium in vigorish.

Make no mistake: San Francisco has played some awful football this year. There was some hope early on for Year One of the Chip Kelly Era, but a string of injuries on defense has gutted the team, especially when LB Navorro Bowman tore his Achilles' tendon in Week 4 versus the Dallas Cowboys. And Colin Kaepernick has been even worse at quarterback than Blaine Gabbert, which isn't easy to do.

It's still hard to beat a team by more than two touchdowns, though. We're willing to recommend the Niners for a small wager at these odds, but again, consider holding off until the weekend to get a better price. Why do the pushing when the donkey will do the pulling for you?

Remember to drop by SBR's list of the best-ranked bonuses, and find out which of the top rated sportsbooks is offering the best deals!
