For Philadelphia, it sure seems the early bye week killed their momentum, with two defeats since and they have to face the lone remaining undefeated team in the NFL in the Minnesota Vikings. Here's our NFL Pick.

Both those losses came on the road for the Eagles and they are hoping some home cookin' has them sharp from the get-go. Minnesota is coming off a bye week and realizes what they are stepping into, playing on the road in a hostile environment versus a frustrated opponent.

Your friendly handicapper is a high-quality 25-11-1 in all NFL picks this regular season and offers up another.

Vikings Vault

Coach Mike Zimmer is a head coach who believes in the fundamentals and one of those is running the ball. Minnesota is last in the NFL in yards rushing (70.6) and yards per carry (2.5) and knows full well that at some point the Vikings are going to need to salt away games by running the ball late in the fourth quarter. With Philadelphia permitting 4.8 YPC, this would excellent situation for the Minnesota offense line to be more than pass blockers for Sam Bradford.

Vikings defenders have watched the tape on how Washington engulfed QB Carson Wentz with five sacks and several other pressures and Zimmer should turn up the heat even further on the rookie, looking to create turnovers. To this juncture, no opponent has solved Minny defense, conceding just 12.6 points a contest.

 Eagles Enlightenment

Off two losses and digging a pair of 14-0 holes to climb out of, first-year coach Doug Pederson will implore his troops to play with more passion from opening kickoff. Losing right tackle Lane Johnson to suspension really hurt last week as rookie Halapoulivaati Vaitai had a rough time in his first NFL start. This seemed to affect the entire O-Line and this is the large concern coming into this contest. Thinking Pederson will use running backs in short passing game and have Wentz make one read and throw pigskin.

The Eagles run defense was pretty solid until last week, giving up 230 yards to Redskins. Though DC Jim Schwartz does not like to blitz, it might be the best tact to curtail Bradford and a rather talented group of pass catchers.

Odds and What to Look For

The NFL odds at A+ rated Bookmaker have Minnesota as a 2.5-point road favorite. While a case can be made for taking any home underdog, the Vikings have few weaknesses and are sensational 19-3 ATS since last year. Included in those gaudy figures is 10-2 ATS mark as a favorite and 9-1 ATS road record.

With Philly's confidence shaken and taking Minnesota's defense, the Vikes get the call.
