Atlanta have now lost two of their last three after starting 5-0 and a slow start killed them in a loss at home to Tampa Bay. Now, they visit San Francisco, who is 2-6 and things have gotten so bad that they have benched Colin Kaepernick for Blaine Gabbert.

Opening Odds & Line Movement

Open: -4 -105 at Pinnacle

The Falcons came out as 4-point favorites on the road, then the NFL odds moved to -4.5 and then -5, but then whispers of the Kaepernick-for-Gabbert news started to swirl around. The line went from -5.5 to -7 for the Falcons now as Gabbert has never impressed since coming into the league, but again, this had to be done and Kaepernick might need to take a step back and re-evaluate himself. Also, the Falcons are coming off a game at home which they expected to win, and then their comeback bid came up just short. They should be ready to go on Sunday afternoon on the west coast.

***Falcons vs 49ers ATS Pick Preview***

For the Falcons, S William Moore (groin), LB Justin Durant (undisclosed), CB Robert Alford (groin), C Mike Person (ankle) and WR Leonard Hankerson (hamstring) were at practice. However, they were working by themselves, so they're all some form of questionable heading into the weekend.

As if the 49ers don't have enough problems, they're running low on running backs. Reggie Bush (knee) is out for the season, Mike Davis (hand) probably won't play and Carlos Hyde (foot) hasn't practiced this week. CB Kenneth Acker has a concussion, as well. It's not a good time for the 49ers right now.

The Falcons have covered in just one of their last five games, but they're 4-2 ATS in their last six on the road. The 49ers have covered in just three of their last 14, and they have the record in their last 14 at home. The total has gone up from 44.5 to 45 and the Falcons have gone under in eight of their last 11; the 49ers have gone under in 10 of their last 15.

The two have split their last 10 meetings SU and ATS since 2000, but the Falcons are 2-8 SU And 3-7 ATS in their last 10 in San Francisco.
