The Dallas Cowboys ran away with the NFC East in 2021. They're still in a good spot to defend that title in 2022, despite a tough offseason. But how the Philadelphia Eagles fare will likely determine the odds to win the NFC East in 2022, and the outcome of the picks.

It's now been five years since an NFC East team made a Super Bowl appearance. In that time, three clubs have been crowned the division champion. While the New York Giants have been trying their hardest this offseason, they’re unlikely to become the fourth one in five years.

Dallas returns as the favorite to take home the crown in the NFC East, with the retooled Eagles and the renamed Washington Commanders following behind.

Here are our picks and predictions to win the NFC East title in 2022 based on the odds from our top-rated sportsbooks.

NFC East Division Preview

Cowboys to win NFC East (+135)

The Cowboys will win the division for the third time in the last five years.

Dallas did lose Amari Cooper after an offseason trade, but the club still boasts the division's most talented offense. For starters, Dak Prescott is head and shoulders above every other quarterback in the NFC East. The Cowboys also still field a formidable core of pass-catchers, with Michael Gallup inking a large extension over the offseason and CeeDee Lamb turning into a star in 2021.

The big headline of the spring and summer was La’el Collins' departure, but the Cowboys received so much out of Terence Steele at tackle last year that the loss won't hurt much. PFF still ranks Dallas' offensive line as the NFL's sixth-best.

Combine that with some great skill-position players and a defense that was elite in 2021, and I really like the Cowboys’ chances.

Eagles to make the playoffs (-150)

We’re not normally here to drink juice when it comes to futures, but this one seems too good to pass up.

Philly came on strong at the end of 2021, and the team is stacked on offense beyond a mediocre quarterback situation. A.J. Brown should help Jalen Hurts develop, as should the No. 1 offensive line in the league, according to PFF.

Haason Reddick is now coming off the edge for Philadelphia, too. He'll open up possibilities for other pass-rushers like Josh Sweat and Jordan Davis.

Wide receiver DeVonta Smith could also be special during this second season, giving the Eagles breakout potential. The Cowboys are the clear-cut division favorites in the division, but with four relatively easy wins against the Commanders and Giants on the horizon, there’s a really good chance the Eagles make the playoffs.

Giants Under 7 wins (-125)

Selecting Kayvon Thibodeaux should help this terrible football team sell some tickets, but the Giants are more than one exciting draft pick away from being a quality squad.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is still arguably the worst in the division (he’s neck-and-neck with Carson Wentz). Running back Saquan Barkley seems physically worn down early in his career, and PFF ranks New York's offensive line No. 18. The team's entire receiving corps couldn’t stay on the field in 2021, and it relies heavily on two injury-prone players in Sterling Shepard and Kenny Golladay.

The Giants' best offseason move was probably adding Mark Glowinski at guard, which is pretty telling. Maybe their defense gets a hair better because of Thibodeaux, but the unit's play was pretty ugly in 2021 while ranking 21st in yards allowed. The Giants won four games in 2021 and didn’t really get better. They don't deserve this win total.
