Houston pulled into a tie for first in the AFC South with a gritty win over previously-undefeated Cincinnati on Monday night. They have a quick turnaround as they host the New York Jets.

Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: Jets -1 at Youwager
There is NFL odds for this game opened at -1 but only YouWager has a line as of Thursday. There are injury concerns with the Texans quarterback as it looks like Brian Hoyer will be out. The Jets are 5-4, but all four of those losses have come by less than a touchdown. The Texans are now 4-5, which speaks to how bad the AFC South is as they're tied with Indianapolis in first. However, the defense certainly stepped up against the Bengals, holding them without a touchdown. That being said, they have their own injuries to worry about, which is probably holding the line back as well.

Injuries
QB Fitzpatrick had surgery on his thumb following Thursday's loss to Buffalo, and he thinks he is going to play, but that is up in the air. C Nick Mangold didn't practice because of neck and injuries, while DE Sheldon Richardson will be a game-time decision because of his hamstring. CB Darrelle Revis also didn't practice because of his hip, but he'll likely play on Sunday.

For the Texans, QB Brian Hoyer left the Cincinnati game with a concussion. T.J. Yates filled in to lead the Texans to the win, but the touchdown he threw was basically a jump ball for WR DeAndre Hopkins, who missed practice on Wednesday with a knee injury. He expects to play, and his matchup with Revis could make or break this game, especially if Yates is going to start under center for the Texans. Elsewhere, LB Akeem Dent and RB Chris Polk didn't practice because of hamstring injuries, while LB Jadeveon Clowney (back), CB Kareem Jackson (ankle) and CB Johnathan Joseph (calf) were limited on Wednesday.

Trends
The Jets are 4-4-1 ATS this season, going 2-1-1 ATS on the road, while the Texans are 4-5 ATS and 2-2 ATS at home. There is no total yet, but the Jets have gone over the total five times, while the Texans have done the same.

The Texans are 1-5 SU and ATS in six meetings with the Jets since 2003, going 0-2 SU and ATS in two of those games at home.
