We sift through the NFL odds board in search of NFL betting lines on week 3 matchups that present undervalued teams to spot on your NFL picks. Grab these while you still can before the lines move.

NY Jets (+3) vs. Kansas City Chiefs
The NY Jets (1-1SU) descend on the Kansas City Chiefs (1-1 SU) on Sunday for a game that opened on a rather perplexing -3.5 NFL line at early doors. As it is, the Chiefs are tipped as the -3 home chalk, which, to be fair, is the standard field goal advantage awarded to home teams. However, the Chiefs played an awful game last week against a very good Houston Texans side while the Jets are coming off a big win on the road in Buffalo on Thursday.

The Jets have been playing good ball with Ryan Fitzpatrick calling the shots. There are those that believe they were rather unfortunate to lose the opening game to the Bengals. Had they converted on the plethora of redzone opportunities, the Jets might be going into this game as the 2-0 SU team. Now, that might have changed the NFL betting outlook right out of the gates.

In any event, bettors looking to bank on the Jets at +3 should act quickly before this line whittles down to 2.5 or drops even lower. Keep in mind, the Jets have had a lot of time to prepare for this game (since Thursday) and the Chiefs are returning from a road trip to Houston last Sunday, in which they were really – no bones about it – terrible. How convincing were they in week 1, for that matter? They needed to come from behind and overtime to defeat a Chargers side not many are really high on in 2016.

To put it bluntly, the Jets have the quality on both sides of the ball to not only cover this game but win it outright. Take the points the bookies are so generously offering now before they disappear.

Washington Redskins vs. NY Giants (-4)
How the NFL betting opened so low on this game is somewhat surprising. The fact that it’s being bet up steadily – depending on your choice sportsbook, the line ranges from -4 to -5 (at the time of writing on Thursday) – only underscores this sentiment.

Fact is the Redskins have been terrible through two games of the season and reports of internal strife and dissatisfaction, mainly aimed at Kirk Cousins, does little to inspire confidence in the Redskins to keep this as close of a game as the NFL betting market suggests.

Granted the NY Giants offense has yet to really light up but their defense has been solid. Best it’s been in several seasons, really. Less pressure on Eli Manning to pass the Giants out of trouble in a game, is only going to allow the two-time Super Bowl champion and MVP to loosen up a bit. Another thing that might take the pressure off in this game is the subpar Redskins defense. They’ve been relatively MIA through two games and if they don’t show up on Sunday the Giants offense should run riot.

Given the NFL betting trend – the line creeping up – those looking to lay the points with the Giants should snap the low line asap. You can still find -4 if you act fast. It won’t surprise us if this line closes on a touchdown or thereabouts; it’s probably where it should have opened to begin with.
