Monday Night Football Game Preview: Rams vs. Buccaneers

If you’re reading this…’s officially Monday Night Football! Finally, it’s a good matchup on a Monday––something we haven’t seen in quite some time. Below we’ll take a look at Week 11’s matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers––along with the best sportsbooks to go with when betting on this primetime game.

L.A. Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Monday, November 23, 2020 – 8:15 PM EDT at Raymond James Stadium

On Monday Night Football, one of the highest-scoring offenses matches up against one of the most daunting defenses in the league as the Buccaneers play host to the LA Rams. Tom Brady hasn’t seen Rams quarterback Jared Goff since Super Bowl LIII, where Brady sealed the victory. Things look a little different this time as Brady is suiting up for Tampa Bay.

The Matchup

The Bucs have made some much-needed changes to their offensive line after an embarrassing defeat to the New Orleans Saints. The switch-up is looking like it’s been in their favor considering they rolled through the Panthers in Charlotte, taking home a 46-23. Brady took just one sack, and the running game found its momentum once again.

Tampa’s offensive line performing at its best will be crucial as the Bucs are up against sack machine Aaron Donald and a Rams No. 2 ranked defense.

The Rams are coming off a solid win against MVP hopeful Russel Wilson and the Seahawks, winning at home with a score of 23-16. It was a nice bounce-back victory after the Rams were torched by the Dolphins in Week 8.

Although the Rams offense has been somewhat efficient, they put up an average of 24 points per game. They will have to rely on their defense, once again here.

LA will be tasked with having to put a stop to a No. 6 ranked scoring offense and get through an opposing defense that can stop the run. Can Goff pass his way to a victory over TB and the Bucs? Quite possibly, after throwing for over 300 in his last two outings.

This will be a close contest, but Tampa has the better offense and a fairly balanced defense to pull off the win and cover a 3.5-point spread. Tom Brady is a much better QB than Goff when he wants to be and has more weapons to work with. On the betting sites, I just wouldn’t put my trust in Goff and the Rams for this match up. I also am a fan of the under here as these are actually two of the stingiest defenses squaring off.
