Matthew Stafford is banged up and has thrown five picks so far this season, and the Seattle defense is hungry. Join us as we preview the betting odds & share our free NFL picks.

The Seahawks opened as 10-point favorites and the NFL odds  haven’t moved since then, and if it moves, it probably won't be more than a half-point. That would probably go towards the Seahawks, who got Jimmy Clausen in their shutout win against Chicago and while Stafford is better than Clausen (and has Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate), that margin isn't by as much as it should be. The defense was never a question against the Bears and should be fine against the Lions, but Seattle's offense took a while to get going. Detroit's defense is ranked 27th in the league, and Seattle needs to get out of the gate quickly. Quite frankly, their offensive line play has been atrocious this season, something that the Lions know all too well themselves.

The Lions are still without LB DeAndre Levy, who is battling a hip injury, and that is a huge blow to the defense as Levy is their leader. That being said, for their poor ranking, the Lions actually did well against Denver. Had CB Darius Slay come up with a couple of big plays as he was getting picked on, it could be a different story. Hopefully, he'll learn not to say anything in the media prior to the game.

RB Marshawn Lynch has been hampered by a bad hamstring all season and is a 50/50 shot to play on Monday night, so that is something to watch. Other than that, the Seahawks have everyone back in the fold, including S Kam Chancellor, who returned from his holdout to record a single tackle as he eases back into the team.

The Lions are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall, while Seattle is just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six. The Lions are also 1-7 ATS in their last eight on the road, and the Seahawks are 5-4-1 ATS in their last 10 at home despite an 8-2 SU record.

Seattle is 6-4 SU and ATS in their last 10 meetings with Detroit since 1984 and at home, that record jumps to 4-1 SU and ATS.
