It’s never too early to start looking for NFL Odds value. I’ve already released three of my early ATS nods for Week 1 of the season & here are some early total values that could be great bets this summer.

Browns vs. Jets
If you’re a Jets fan, you have to be excited about this upcoming season. The Jets went on a spending spree this summer and it looks like their defense is back to being one of the best in the NFL. Now enter the Browns, a team that should still have a solid defense as well, but their offense might be lackluster to put it lightly. Cleveland is in the midst of a quarterback battle, (if we can call it that) but not matter who wins this offense is likely going to be a struggle. Their two young running backs are two of their loan bright spots, but against this defense I can see the Browns scoring more than once or twice. The Jets offense should be better, but in order to hide Geno Smith as much as possible, the Jets are going to run the ball as much as possible, making this a low scoring Week 1.

Dolphins vs. Redskins
We’ve talked a lot about the possible resurgence of the Dolphins this season, and after signing Ryan Tannehill for a big extension, the pieces are there for this offense to finally fall into place as one of the leagues best. The signing of Jordan Cameron is going to be huge for this team, and even though they didn’t do much else to improve the offense because they spent so much money signing Ndamukong Suh, this team is going to be able to put up points, even on the road against this Redskins defense. Speaking of the Redskins, as long as Robert Griffin III can get his stuff together, this offense should be able to score on the Dolphins at home. With a NFL odds total of just 44 points, this could be a great chance to take the over in this one.

NFL Pick: OVER 44

Titans vs. Bucs
Finally we have one of the best and worst games to watch in Week 1. The big intrigue of this one is of course that the two number one picks in the draft will square off against one another in their debuts, and that could mean a significantly lower scoring game for both teams. Marcus Mariota has very little to throw to down in Tennessee other than Delanie Walker, and while Jameis Winston does have a healthy stash of weapons to throw to down in Tampa Bay, the Titans defense should at least be good enough to force him into some rookie mistakes. If the Titans defense can stay solid on the road in Week 1 and force the young Bucs QB into some bad decisions, this one should stay as a lower scoring game. While they don’t play often, these two teams have had a history of lower scoring games against one another. In fact the under has cashed in their last two meetings against one another dating back to 2007, and I see it being three in a row after Week 1.

NFL Pick: UNDER 42
