Jarvis Landry couldn’t get it done for us on Sunday Night Football, but when in doubt blame Jay Cutler for the loss. Even after dropping that pick, the Monday Night Football game between two NFC North foes should be a good one.

Aaron Jones O/U 69½ Rushing Yards

Even though the Packers’ offense is now going to run through Jones and Ty Montgomery, if the Lions’ defense travels in this one I don’t expect a very big game from the Green Bay running backs.

Jones has been super-impressive in two of his last three games against the Cowboys and Saints, running for a combined 256 yards on 36 carries, but in his two most recent divisional games Jones has not produced. Against the Bears and Vikings’ tough run defenses, he was limited to less than 50 yards in both on 13 carries in each game, which averages out to well under 4 yards per carry.

Even though the Lions’ run defense is nothing to write home about, they have been better in three of their last four games. Last week they held Le’Veon Bell 76 yards on 25 carries, and other than two big games from the Falcons and Saints rushing the ball, the Lions have held their opponent to less than 90 yards rushing in five of their seven games.

I think Jones is in for a solid game, but a big one where he rushes for more than 100 yards in unlikely. His recent performances have inflated his odds tonight to the point where the under looks like the play.

Ameer Abdullah O/U 55½ Rushing Yards

On the other side tonight is Detroit's Abdullah, who has not been that impressive lately. He is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry on the season, he has not scored in over a month and over his last three games Abdullah is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry.

The Packers’ defense has allowed an average of more than 111 rushing yards per game this season to opposing running backs, but other than his poor play, there is one other big factor working against the Lions’ running back. The Packers are coming off a bye week, and traditionally Dom Capers has his defense rested and ready to stop the run off a bye week.

If that’s the case here in this one, Abdullah is also a nice bet to go 'under' his yards total. He has rushed for more than 55 yards only twice this season, and those were thanks to a couple of long runs. I think the Packers will sell out to stop the run in this one, and just hope they can get some ball movement on offense with Brett Hundley.
