Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -6.5 -105 at Pinnacle
The Panthers opened as 6.5-point favorites at home and the NFL odds have moved to -7, for good reason. Luck and the Colts have looked terrible this season and their only wins have come against AFC South teams, which is absolutely nothing to be proud of. The Panthers proved a lot with a fourth-quarter comeback in Seattle, then they overcame three interceptions from Newton to beat the Eagles. Carolina's defense is sixth in the league in points allowed per game, and the Panthers are by far the better team when it comes to turnover ratio, where they sit at +4; the Colts are -8 and only Dallas is worse. Also, the Colts are habitual slow starters as they've been blanked in the first half three times this season.

The Colts will be without WR Phillip Dorsett thanks to surgery on his leg, and there is no timetable for his return. S Mike Adams didn't practice because of a bad hamstring, but he is expected to play on Monday for the Colts.

For the Panthers, DE Mario Addison (shoulder), DT Dwan Edwards (ankle), C Ryan Kalil (ankle) and LB Shaq Thompson (knee) didn't practice, so they'll need to be watched leading up to Monday night. LB Thomas Davis and FB Mike Tolbert also didn't practice, but those seemed to be rest days for the veterans.

Indianapolis has covered in two of their last eight games, and just once in three games on the road this season. The Panthers have covered in five of their six games this season, including two of three at home. The total has jumped from 45 to 47 since coming out, and both teams have gone over three times this season.

These two have met five times since 1995, with the Panthers going 4-1 SU and ATS. However, in Carolina, the Colts are 1-1 SU and ATS.
