Riding an 8-game win streak, confidence is sky high with Green Bay. Little separates these two outside of the Falcons’ home field advantage. Each team rolls out two of the hottest offenses in the NFL to close out the year. Since Week 7, Green Bay has scored three offensive touchdowns or more in every game.

Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons Point Spread Value

The difference between both teams in average scoring margin, in fact, is 0.38 in favor of Atlanta over the last eight contests. A higher scoring game typically means a greater margin of victory, but expect this to come down to the wire à la the Packers-Cowboys game in the divisional round. Another epic showdown may be in the works. Green Bay keeps it within 5 points.

The Survivor

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers vowed to run-the-table after a 4-6 start to the season—he’s delivered on that promise so far. The Falcons offer the toughest test by far, scoring 35.1 points per game at the Georgia Dome this season. It may be the one team in the league in which the Pack can’t keep up. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has taken some slack as an underachiever throughout his career, but if he withstands the championship-game pressure and outguns Rodgers, start etching his name on the MVP trophy. Ryan gets the job done Sunday. Falcons advance.

Game Total

Each team rolls out two of the hottest offenses in the NFL to close out the year. Since Week 7, Green Bay has scored three offensive touchdowns or more in every game. The Falcons, meanwhile, have matched this feat in all but one contest since Week 6. The 60.5 game total is the second-highest over-under ever for an NFL game. One has to go back to the days of the “Greatest Show on Turf” to uncover the steepest; the Rams and 49ers battled to a 34-24 finish in Week 9 of the 2000-01 season, failing to eclipse a closing 62 game total. The Packers and Falcons have combined to go over 60 points 13 times this season.
