Week 4 is here and there’s still a lot of ball left to play. However, teams are already without their top stars and the underdogs are taking the spotlight. So far, it’s been a rough three weeks for the NY Giants and the LA Rams are coming off of an “almost” win against the revamped Buffalo Bills. Let’s take a look at our NFL free pick and prediction for this Week 4 matchup against the Giants and Rams.
New York Giants vs. Los Angeles Rams
Sunday, October 04, 2020 – 04:05 PM EDT at SoFi Stadium
The New York Giants get a chance to escape the Big Apple after a disastrous performance on Sunday. The Giants got shut out early by the injured 49ers 36-9. Now, it’s looking like another L for the Giants that the Vegas NFL odds have them labeled as a 13-point betting underdog against the Rams.
Giants Remain Winless
The Giants can’t win and it’s not going to get any easier against the L.A. Rams. The main reason for their struggles has been their offense that has yet to score over 16 points. As if things couldn’t get worse for them, their star running back Saquon Barkley is out for the season.
Leading the Giants offense is quarterback Daniel Jones who has been rusty this season as he just has 699 passing yards and two touchdowns. He’s also managed to turn the ball over at least twice each week. To make things worse, the Giant’s defense looked terrible last week as it allowed 36 points along with 420 total yards.
You just need to feel bad for them as they find that spark. Thankfully for them, it’s the NFL and you just never know what might happen.
Rams Look to Recover
The Rams have looked like a solid playoff team so far. The only thing in the Giants' favor right now is that the Rams are coming off a three-point loss in Buffalo which could have them down in the dumps.
The game was chaotic as the Rams managed to come back from a 25-point deficit before getting a bad pass interference call against them which allowed the Bills to score the game-winning touchdown with just 15 seconds on the clock. LA will look to recover from that lost and bad referee calling.
Leading the Rams on offense is Jared Goff, who has 863 passing yards along with five passing touchdowns and two interceptions. While the Rams may have lost last week, Goff had himself a day in which he threw for 321 passing yards and two touchdowns, so that momentum should flow into Week 4.
The Rams also have Aaron Donald who has been nothing short of the best defensive player in the league. He’s already racked up three sacks and 11 tackles.
The spread is insanely high, but the Giants don’t have much going for them yet. All you can do is hope they at least show up to give a little bit of a show. I expect the Rams to roll through them and cover the spread.
