Packers look to keep the momentum going at the expense of divisional rivals Bears in week 15. Here’s a mini-betting preview complete with NFL picks to spot.

Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears

Point Spread Value

With Jay Cutler out of the picture (honestly, he gives RGIII a run for his money in the injury department) there are those that would argue the Bears looked semi-decent in a 20-17 loss to the Lions. Be that as it may, they’re well out of the playoff race with just three weeks of the regular season left so for John Fox it’s about weighing the options for 2017. The Packers are after a third-straight win and in the hunt yet. They looked pretty good in the 38-10 decimation of the Seattle Seahawks too. It’s a bit of a generous line all things being considered, but home field advantage is almost non-existent for the Bears over the last few seasons. They are 6-16-0 SU in the last three seasons with a -4.3 losing margin and -3.5 differential versus the spread. This season they sport a 3-3-0 SU mark but that’s down to the carousel at quarterback.

The Survivor

The Packers have the momentum going into week 15, not to mention it’s a must-win game if they hope to vie for a playoff spot in the NFC. The Bears could play spoilsports, naturally. Nothing like a divisional rivalry to throw a spanner in the works. However, you still have to like the Packers over the Bears on week 15 NFL picks.

Game Total

In the 2016-2017 campaign the Packers are not the side most remember from season’s past with a 7-6-0 O/U record. It used to be skewed more towards the OVER in previous seasons with Packers smashing ridiculous totals at the sports betting exchange. The last few games have seen a decided upturn though, which augurs well for those NFL bettors that like a bit of offensive football. The Bears have been strong on the defensive side of the ball but their offense has stuttered largely down to the changes at quarterback. To date, they are 5-8-0 in O/U betting. Given the low total currently on offer it’s quite possible this game would crack the OVER.
