We are quickly approaching the halfway point of the NFL season, and with that comes better and much more crucial games. The NFL Odds for Week 7 are out, and there look to be plenty of opportunities to add value to your NFL Picks.

New York Jets vs. New England Patriots
Right now the NFL Odds have the Patriots at -9 ½ or even -10 on the short week against the Jets, and with all of the problems New York is facing right now, it would not surprise me to see these NFL Odds keep rising. They opened last night at -7 ½ and have quickly shot up, while the total looks to be remaining steady at 46 ½.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Indianapolis Colts
Probably the best AFC game in Week 7 is going to be the Bengals and Colts. The NFL odds have the Colts as -3 favorites, and after their long week of rest, they should be ready to exploit the Bengals’ defense. Cincinnati’s defense has fallen apart over the last two weeks, and against a team like the Colts, it might get worse before it gets better. One area I might exploit in this game is the total of 49, which might be way too low. The under might be one of my free picks this week, because if the Bengals turn it around on defense, this could be a low scoring game due to the Colts’ undervalued defense.

Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears
Miami almost escaped with a win over the Packers yesterday, and now they have to face another NFC North foe. The NFL Odds have the Bears as -3 favorites, with a total of 49, and while the game above might be a good under play, this one might be better with the over. Both of these defenses aren’t playing that great, but both offenses are starting to pick up speed.

Carolina Panthers vs. Green Bay Packers
Another game that could be high scoring is the Panthers and Packers from Lambeau Field. The NFL Odds have the Packers as -7 favorites, with a total of 48 ½, but if Cam Newton can play like he did last week, the Panthers might come away with more than just a cover, or even a tie! They just need to exploit Green Bay’s injured corners, and possibly get some of their running back depth back for Week 7’s NFL Picks.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Falcons got beat down by my Bears this past week, and now they have to head into Baltimore. The Ravens’ put on an offensive clinic this week after getting embarrassed on offense in Week 5, and the NFL Odds have them as -6 ½ favorites at home, with a total of 49 ½. Some sportsbooks even have the Ravens as -7 favorites, and it would not surprise me to see the line continue to rise as the week goes on. The Falcons are simply not a great road team, and Baltimore’s defense is very tough.

New Orleans Saints vs. Detroit Lions
Speaking of good conference games, the Saints and Lions should put on a show this week. There is a lot we don’t know, such as the health of Reggie Bush and Calvin Johnson, but the NFL Odds are out and favor the Lions at -2 ½, with a total of 51 at 5Dimes. If those two can’t play again, it would make the Saints a pretty good play potentially, but they would have to show up on the road. Drew Brees and the Saints’ offense also might have some issues with the Lions’ outstanding defense, but that remains to be seen. Look for the two Lions’ statuses as we approach the end of the week, because it might move the line one way or another.
